Why is my SSD’s actual capacity less than advertised?
Because the manufacturer’s calculation method is 1TB=1000MB=1000000KB=1000000000B, and the computer system’s calculation method is 1TB=1024MB=1024*1024KB=1024*1024*1024B, so the capacity you see is 1TB=(1000*1000*1000)/(1024*1024*1024)TB≈0.93TB.
Why is the speed not reaching 20Gbps when I use the i20 portable SSD?
Since the USB C interface of MacBook & iMac only supports USB 3.2 Gen2 10Gbps speed, using this product on MacBook & iMac will be limited by the interface. The tested speed of the product can only reach about 1000MB/s, not the advertised 2050MB/s.
Why can’t the external ssd be recognized after installation?
When using a SSD for the first time, it needs to be formatted and partitioned first. You can use “Disk Management Tool” to format and partition the SSD, and then use it in “Windows Explorer”.

Compact and fast
This is an interesting package for an SSD, it’s bigger than a flash drive, but much faster. I’m guessing it’s basically a USB m.2 reader with a small nvme. It’s a great design and fits well in a pocket. I like that it also has a lanyard option, but there’s no good way to keep the USB cable with it, so the portability is not quite as good as it seems at first. The speeds are fast enough to max out the 3.1 ports on the front of my PC – 426 MB/s write 438MB/s read with a 64 GB test file. It may get faster with a 3.2 connection, but it doesn’t come with a C to C cable.I was able to transfer movies to my VR and was able to detect and connect with my player. The size allowed my to velcro the SSD to the headstrap giving my effective “external” storage on the Quest 3.I am very happy with this little SSD.

It is small and quick
Nice little external ssd. Although it said otherwise, I can test on ubuntu the speed is 1000MB/s, and 800MB/s read on windows. It is small and easy to transport. I also will bye an internal ssd with 7500MB/s read at 1TB/$75, and an external enclosure can make it connects to usb-c. I will find out which option is cheaper.

Great quality product!!
This 512GB External SSD with USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 has been an absolute revelation for my workflow! As someone who deals with large video files and high-res photos, speed is paramount, and this drive delivers. I’m consistently getting incredibly fast read and write speeds, significantly cutting down on transfer times compared to my old external hard drive.Editing directly from the drive is smooth with no lag, which is a huge bonus. It’s also remarkably compact and lightweight, making it super portable for taking my projects with me or when I’m working remotely. The build quality feels solid, and I have complete confidence in its reliability. If you’re looking for serious speed and portability for your data, especially if you’re handling large files, this SSD is an outstanding investment! The cable provided is super short, but it works, and at the rated speed!!

Good SSD, not so good for gaming
I have been using this SSD for a while, and it has served me well. For the size, it has more than enough “portable” storage that I need. I really liked that it also comes with a cable that is a USB cable that turns into a USB-C port for my laptop. One thing I noticed, though, is that although it is easy to use, it isn’t that good for gaming or specifically on a PS5. I wanted to test it on there, and it always gave me an error that I “unplugged it incorrectly”. There are a lot of factors, but it hasn’t happened with any other SSD I have. It does store and run games, but it makes me a little uneasy about the possibility of corruption.Other than that, I would recommend it.

A great, portable solid state drive
I was highly skeptical of the amount of storage and the claimed speeds, but this portable SSD continues to impress. It’s much lighter and physically smaller than I expected. It interfaces effectively with my computers and tablets, and the transfer speed is surprisingly fast. I use this in my work travel bag to move files back and forth. I’m getting another one for my wife. This small drive feels more secure and heavy-duty than a typical flash drive.

Works just fine, but unknown IP rating
A reasonably priced drive, but unfortunately from a company not known, or widely tested, in the US. It’s a very similar shape (just slightly larger) than several Crucial Drives I have. You get the drive, a small manual, and a very nice cable, that has a USB A adapter that is tethered onto one end the USB C to C .I reformatted to APFS, for use on a Mac that is a few years old. It came EXFAT, which would work fine, but I wanted to test it using the same fornatting as other drives I’ve tested. I’m attaching the resultsâbasically, it’s performing just as advertised. (2000 speeds are not available on Macs with the USB3.2 standard. (But, with USB 4 I’ve been able to get ~3800 from drives that were compatible.)My only real concern with this drive is that there are no IP ratings. The manual is very clear about not dropping it, or letting it get moist, or using it in dusty environmentsâso my guess is they are wise not to include test results. In any case, I am happy to have this, but will most likely use it mainly at home. I could see getting a small padded case if I decided to travel with it.

Very fast drive, but probably not waterproof
This is the fastest flash drive I’ve gotten so far, benchmarking at 1000MB/sec. (my previous best was 600) So I’m pretty happy with this drive’s speed. I think this is a good drive to use when you need to move big chunks of data around such as from the office to work. This thing is fast enough that your limiting factor for speed may be the drive on your PC that you are copying from. I only got top speed when I was copying from my built in solid state drive. Also keep in mind that you need USB 3.2 to get full speed. They include a usb-c cable with a captive C-to-A adapter to make it easy to use with almost any computer. The one downside to this is that, while it’s obviously made to be carried in a pocket, there is no statement of how water/dust proof this is, so I would try to avoid getting caught in a downpour with this in your pocket.
