Nice Quality and handy for sliding doors.
First thing you notice when your unbox this slim electronic door lock is that it feels very well built. I will have no problem adding this to our expensive Andersen sliding doors. I went through the template, detailed instructions and verified all the pieces were there. I don’t trust myself to install this on our door although there are a few youtube videos showing self installation; I’ll feel better having it professionally installed instead of me trying to drill into the side of our sliding glass door; we use the door everyday and it is in a high visibility area. I did not see any batteries included in package, so remember to have 4 AA batteries handy when installing. I’ll update this review after installation is complete.

The best addition for peace of mind, if you have littles
This was a is a lifesaver for when you have kitties. You constantly hear about kids getting out or just being unattended one second and taking off. I was afraid of thatâs escenario so we got this and boy has it paid off. Not sure why people say itâs complex installation when my husband was able to do this himself without issue. The fingerprint is a great aspect of this and honestly the reason I got this one over others. Quality is great and seems durable, we are constantly opening this door and is high traffic area in our home.

Awesome upgrade to my patio door
I installed this Anweller smart lock on our sliding patio door, and itâs been super nice. My wife and I both love the fingerprint feature, itâs quick and reliable, and we donât have to fumble with keys anymore. Weâve also used the app and passcode features, all of which work smoothly.Setup took a bit of patience to get everything aligned, but once it was in, itâs been rock solid. Battery life has held up well so far, and I like that you can charge it via USB-C if needed. Great option for added security and peace of mind without making things complicated.

This was my only choice for a smart lock for a sliding door. The initial cost isnât bad, but this definitely isnât a DIY affair. I had to pay a locksmith $350 to install this thing and my brand new sliding door had to be cut and there are holes from where the original hardware was removed.All this would be just fine if the thing actually worked as advertised.The instructions to operate the thing are abysmal. There are obviously steps missing. The translations are terrible and really impact the ability to make this thing function.The fingerprint feature doesnât work, the ability to set your own code doesnât work, Bluetooth with the app? That doesnât work either.The little key fob works, so thatâs good.Overall, Iâd say this is a huge waste of a lot of money. Iâm stuck with this thing though because my door has been cut to the point where the original hardware wonât work anymore.Save yourself the time, money, and hassle and skip this one.

âConfirm Compatibility Before Purchaseâ?!
I loved the idea and look of this and went with it because itâs the most narrow fingerprint and code patio slider lock I could find. I have a blinds-between-the-glass Pella slider patio door and decided to chance it after reading a reviewer who installed this in his Anderson BBG patio door. How different could they be? I tried multiple contractors and heard each time that this does not work on the standard patio slider. One contractor just said, âFugeddaboutitâ. The second contractor saw that the dimensions could work, but the chances of the door closing securely were moot. Hmmm. The third contractorâs assessment was the same but starker, âI can put this in, but I will alter your door in a way that if it doesnât work, if the door doesnât close securely, you may wanna consider getting a new door.â Double Hmmmmmm. I returned this. Reluctantly. My husband and I have a healthy respect for security and lock the patio door. Every. Single. Time. Each of us has locked the other out. True, we can go to the front door. But how convenient to have a coded entry like our front door. No more worries about slipping around to the front wearing pjs or having to leave items on the stoop to be retrieved later. Itâs a great lock at a great price with all the bells and whistles. It just didnât work with my 13 year old door.
