Best affordable capacitive touch screen
This is one of the few capacitive touch screen head units under $100. Most of the cheap units have pressure touch screens and are very limited as far as screen mirroring goes. With android mirroring you can control your phone from the head units screen. I thought my head unit was defective at first because I couldn’t get it to link up to the car when screen casting. Turns out I wasn’t in de-bugging mode, and my cheap cable wasn’t transmitting a clean signal. Once I changed the USB cable and put the phone in de-bugging mode it worked perfectly. The unit is the same size as a double din space, but if you have an adapter face plate to match it to your car it’s going to be tight on the side buttons and volume knob. I had to use a Dremel to carve a little half circle in my adapter plate so the volume knob cleared it. Another issue I ran into is that The face on my unit is recessed behind the adapter bezel and the little I.R. receiver is partially obscured from the transmitter on the steering wheel controller if I mount the remote low on the steering wheel. It’s line of sight control, so mounting it on the upper half of the wheel points the base of the hand control at the head unit and I get much better reception.With a little fiddling I resolved any issues I had with the unit. I wasn’t expecting much for the price I paid, but I’m very pleased with what I got. It looks like a factory installed unit and has modernized my 10 year old car.

Honestly pretty disappointed. Thing died shortly after the return window closed. Required some difficult adjustments to the bracket system just to get it installed properly. Do not order it.

Great for the price.
I’ve seen some people have bad experiences with this. It’s probably either bad luck with a defective product, or they are wiring something incorrectly. Sure the materials used are cheap, but for this price I expect that. The volume knob does feel cheap but it works. The touchscreen hasn’t had any tracking or sensitivity issues yet. It’s accurate and responsive. The sound quality is good. I also have subs hooked up to it and those work fine as well. It took me like 10 minutes to wire everything together with a wiring kit I purchased separately. No sound issues so far. Carplay and bluetooth works great. No issues there. Haven’t hooked up the backup camera yet. I might not. I don’t really need one. But if I do iâll update the review.(1 year Update!) So I’ve had this installed for about a year now. Never got to installing the backup camera. The front USB port is in a bad spot for me. I keep kicking it with my knee which made it come loose. It now is a bit iffy with the front USB but I can just hook it to the rear USB for Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Again, it may feel cheap, but it’s held up so far other than that USB port. But if your headunit is higher on your dash you shouldn’t have the problem of kicking it. Sound quality is decent but if you turn the volume up too high it does get distorted. Over all, id say it’s a good headunit to just get you Carplay or android auto until you can save up for a name brand like Kenwood or Alpine. Or if you are just doing a budget build it holds up better than expected.

Review I put in before I gave up (Does not fit 2003 Ford F-150 and have to do wire work but most importantly it literally doesnât fit so donât be a fool like me and get through most the work just to find out)New review⦠so after not giving up and figuring out the wire work. I had realized I could use a dremel to cut into the plastic casing that holds the old radio just the top part to make the new one fit cuz itâs a bit bigger. Now that Iâve got it to fit and figured out wires i have changed my mind on the quality, for 60 bucks itâs actually really good and it made my speakers louder cuz of the modules it has for sound change. Also it has its own type of Bluetooth and it has CarPlay only through a phone cord but itâs good! I would def purchase but only if you have the patience to works with the wires and the cutting of the plastic.

Sound is surprisingly good ‘IF’ you can get reception. Reception is horrible even with proper adapters!Cant get some stations at all anymore.Screen mirroring doesn’t work at all.The usb port has a short and disconnects every time you hit a bump, most days… (tried many cords)After a couple months most of the buttons on BOTH remotes don’t work anymore.Hard to see when sun is shining, especially if you wear sun glasses.It mounts a quarter inch too high in my 04 f150 so I cant put the trim on. therefore looks super ghetto.
