For me, it’s the best!
I have used Dragon Voice Recognition for over 10 years in my current job. I have to dictate a lot of physician notes and reports. The software is easy to install. I did have problems registering it, I have tried twice so far and each time I get an error message to try again later.Once installed, they recommend you read a few “prepared statements” in order for the software to learn your voice and voice pattern. I’m from the south with a very thick southern accent and the software has learned “me” very well. Very easy to use.When it mistakenly typed what it thought it heard me say and once I corrected it, whenever I say the same word it types it correctly.Since I’m in the Medical Field and I didn’t purchase the Medical version, I have had to teach it some of the more complicated medical terminology. But it learns very quickly.I would recommend you get a good wireless headset to accompany this software.

Good Product but DON’T purchase on Amazon!
I used Dragon years ago. It’s a very good product, but times changed and I had no use for it. Fast forward to yesterday when I spent over $700 for the latest version. The install did not go smoothly. I called Nuance for technical support. They will not help, because they don’t recognize the software purchase through Amazon and assured me that Amazon had a dedicated team to assist me. Amazon said they can’t help me and assured me that Nuance could. Amazon points to Nuance and Nuance points to Amazon. In total I have talked to over six people, each of whom points to the other. Approximately 3 hours of my time wasted, so far… This is trashy customer service.

Dragon 16 Professional Strong Windows 11 Voice Recognition
I have used every version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking since number 7. I questioned whether it would be worth it to upgrade from 15 professional to 16. I work a lot from home. I don’t type very fast and so I use it every day. Since Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking offers a 30 day moneyback guarantee, but no trial version, I thought it would be worth it to give it a spin since I knew I would be able to get my money back if not satisfied.This version has been optimized for Windows 11. It works well with high resolution monitors and on a multi-monitor setup. I notice a difference.I am guessing the algorithms interpreting your words have improved. Compared to version 15 it pauses for a longer period of time while it considers the context of your paragraph. Then, it will usually put your entire paragraph down all at once. The number of mistakes has once again been reduced.I felt that I had few other good options for voice recognition when working on Windows. This application is the most straightforward for use. It does not require an Internet connection once it is installed. I was able to activate two of my computers using the same license, but not three.I did a comparison illustrated by the pictures above. I dictated to two of my computers at the same time. Version 15 came in at less than 97% accurate and version 16 came in at over 99% accurate. I dictated to both computers at the same time. Although the computers and microphones were not exactly the same, they were pretty close.If you look at the images above showing the results of my corrected transcription, you will see that 2% improvement in accuracy will save a lot of time correcting. Until I did this comparison, I did not realize how much difference 2% makes. The problem with editing voice recognition transcription is that all of the words are spelled correctly, so it’s easy to overlook a mistake — sometimes making you look ridiculous later on.Since I use voice recognition every day while I’m working, I think it is worth the cost. The price is high coming in at nearly $700 at the time of this writing. Nuance has announced that they will no longer be making a “home” version which previously cost $200. Therefore, this program will probably only be of interest to those who will get a lot of use out of it.Taken as a whole, I am very happy with this purchase. It is the best voice recognition that I have used on a PC.

Poor service
Purchased the 16 version program in Jan. of 24. for a lot of money. It stopped working yesterday and now they want $200.00 to give out support tp get it up an running again.

Dragon continues to make stupid mistakes
I’ve been using Dragon for a long time and have bought new versions hoping that there voice recognition accuracy will improve. I’ve tried new microphones, I’ve trained the software, but it still makes mistakes that it shouldn’t. For example, if I say “we’ll go later”, it will write it as “will go later”. When I ask it to correct that, it doesn’t show the option for “we’ll” when it really should. If I say “You’re the one.” It will type “your the one” when it should know by context that what it typed is incorrect grammatically. It’s supposed to be able to do that but it often doesn’t. When I dictate “I’d be glad to make reservations too but later.”, It will type”I’d be glad to make reservations to but later.”, which is grammatically incorrect.It’s been very frustrating.

Why oh why are Microsoft and Dragon Dragonadversaries and not allies?
I have been using Dragon Naturally Speaking for at least a decade, starting with Home Version 10 or 11,functional with slow but noticeable improvements. I use Dragon primarily for medical transcriptionshaving built up through Vocabulary Editor a nice medical vocabulary. I also have a Microsoft 365 yearlysubscription. Up to a few days ago, this worked quite well as i could use Dragon with Word 365.Suddenly, Dragon stopped working with Word, stating that it needed an add-in. Of course no suchadd-in was available. I then tried to upgrade my Dragon Professional (version 14 to version 16)at a cost of $699. That did not work either as my Web Shield would not allow the download.I called Dragon Support (a complete misnomer) for a credit. Microsoft and Dragon you have becomecomplete joke ripping off consumers. Shame on you. You should no better.
