My PS2 is Alive!
My “fat” Playstation 2 no longer turned on, so I started doing some research. I found a good diagnosis flow chart online, followed it, and found the power supply was bad. I was surprised to find a replacement power supply so easily and for so cheap. I was skeptical, but after about an hours worth of work, I had this new power supply installed. The PS2 now powers up and works like is used to! Make sure you are careful during installation as those tiny ribbon cables are pretty fragile after 20+ years sitting in your hot video game console. Thanks to the manufacturer for helping me keep my old system working.

This Power Supply works on my fat PS2 SCPH-39001 model. But the board was dirty as I show in image. It was Sticky!

Great Fix
My old PS2 Model 39001 would no longer power on. I did online searches of possible causes and the power board going bad seemed to be the most common. So I ordered this one from Amazon for under $20 and it solved the problem. The components of the board looked a little different but, it fit and worked the same. The repair was fairly easy and did not take very long. I cleaned all the dust out while I had it apart. This was a great fix. There are videos on Youtube concerning how to do the replacement.
