Gooseneck is VERY sturdy
I’m using this to hold a 1.5 lb light. I didn’t expect it would work. But it does. Gooseneck is hard to bend – which is good… The base grip is very strong too – I only had 1″ for it to hang on to and it has no problem

Not worth it
The attachment mount is so flimsy and unstable. The bend of the gooseneck is rough and just droops. Holding a simple lightweight ring light just drops. Attaching it to the desk is made out of plastic so itâs tight setting just breaks the thread for future use.

It works well with a Logitech C920 webcam, which is pretty much a standard webcam since around 2010. I needed something that would allow me to run 1080p resolution, but not cover the whole room around me. This precluded placing the camera on the monitor frame. So, I got this “gooseneck” to bring the camera forward WITHOUT it obscuring the monitor, which would otherwise have happened. It did not quite solve my field of view problem, but that is not the fault of this “gooseneck”; it was my own stupidity. I have it clipped on the windowsill, just left of and behind the monitor and the camera ends up sitting several inches closer to me than the monitor.
