    Roomy bag
Large bag. Well made. It’s a bit too big for what I needed, but it works

Understated Yet Functional – Quality Camera Bag for Daily Shooting
Right out of the box, this camera bag feels much more premium than it appears in the listing pictures. The finish is primarily nylon with pockets and zippers positioned exactly where you need them. The stitching is well-executed with no loose threads, indicating excellent build quality that should hold up over time. This bag falls into the medium size range and will comfortably accommodate one camera body and up to two lenses. The additional pockets provide ample space for accessories like chargers, batteries, and memory cards. I particularly appreciate the understated form factor—it doesn’t immediately scream “camera bag,” which I prefer for discretion. It’s a well-laid-out bag, with details like a strap for hanging on your carry-on handle and even a quick-release release chain on the front. The walls are padded, though somewhat thinly. I suspect this padding will handle minor bumps and everyday wear well, but I’m not confident it would protect against a hip-high drop. The bag includes a detachable rain cover (rather than the sewn-on variety found in most camera bags). While I rarely use rain protection, having the option is reassuring. The detached format could be useful for protecting gear around your neck during storms, though the nylon doesn’t appear particularly waterproof—I’ll need to test its moisture resistance. The bag has straps at the bottom to hold a small tripod or monopod stick, which is appreciated for on-the-go situations. Front and back zippered pockets allow for quick access to small items, even a phone. The interior can accommodate an iPad mini or Air (10″). This could potentially be used to port other things, not just camera gear. In fact, some may want to use this bag as an everyday carry, purse, or tool bag.The bag features a unique insert design that I haven’t encountered in other camera bags. Unfortunately, there are no instructions for its use, though I’ve managed to figure out at least one practical application through experimentation. Both the shoulder strap and handle are reinforced with high-quality woven nylon straps that feel secure and durable. As a day bag, this has performed excellently so far. I prefer bags designed for specific kits rather than trying to carry all my gear in one container, and this bag fits that approach perfectly. It’s appropriately sized, doesn’t attract unwanted attention, and remains comfortable when loaded. Having owned other “brand name” camera bags that proved heavy, bulky, or impractical in their pocket placement, the RAINSMORE has been a solid acquisition. Based on my experience so far, I’m confident it will withstand the demands of professional use.One complaint would be the lack of a hard bottom that most camera bags come with. This would add an additional level of protection, especially from drops or hard landings. I ended up using one from another bag, and was lucky enough that it fit like a glove.

For max features and min price, Rainsmore reigns!
If you don’t take time to read the rest of my comments, know this: the Rainsmore camera bag actually delivers far more features and build quality than the modest price would indicate. While I love minimizing the size and weight of the gear I carry for walks around town and such, there’s kind of a sweet spot for me, where I have enough bag capacity to carry what I might really need without being tempted to carry too much. Here’s a bag that meets that requirement as well as any I’ve found. I’m providing some photos to show the bag fully loaded, including one with a compact tripod hanging off the bottom, plus a shot with the contents spread out in front of it. I don’t always carry that much, of course. In place of the speedlight I’ll often toss in a very tiny flash that takes practically no space. And my choice of lenses will vary with where I plan to be, but the Rainsmore bag can accommodate any of my APS-C lenses, from wide angle to a 70-300mm. The quantity of SD cards and batteries pictured is for illustration purposes only, just to get attention. I love attention.Among the noteworthy features is the abundance of pockets. Sacred bovine, this thing has a lot of pockets! In fact, I have yet found a need for all of them. Here are a few other design features I appreciate. Hey, there’s actually a handle on top, a much better solution than the long strap when I want to just grab the thing by hand. The little detachable key chain inside one of the flat pockets is perfect for attaching an air tag. The luggage strap on the back of the bag is a simple convenience that can’t cost a lot to add, but it’s a feature that’s missing from a lot of competitors’ models. I really appreciate that the top flap, which covers the main compartment, is designed to open away from the wearer’s body so that it doesn’t get in the way. And then there are the clasps on the strap and flaps. I have used other bags that use clasps that are similar, but smaller. These larger clasps are much easier to use with cold hands or even with gloves. The Rainsmore camera bag is appropriately named for the part of the world that I photograph. With all the rain we get, this is the ideal bag, from the choice of materials to the stitching quality, and from the water-resistant zippers to the rain-shedding flaps, this bag keeps my gear protected even when I’m getting drizzled on. And, when the drizzle becomes more intense before I can find shelter, I can pull the rain cover out of one of the end pockets and totally protect the whole bag. The manufacturer has even designed the cover so rain would have a really hard time leaking through the points where the strap passes through it.Is Rainsmore a prestigious, highly advertised name in camera bags? No, but it hasn’t kept them from producing a great bag that’s also a tremendous value. That’s a 5-star product for sure!
