Iâve been using this coffee machine every day for the past few weeks, and Iâm honestly impressed. It brews quickly, the coffee tastes amazing, and itâs super easy to clean. I love how sleek it looks on my counterâit doesnât take up much space but still feels high quality. The setup was simple, and the controls are intuitive. Update to original review a few weeks later: Still using the coffee maker and it works great. There seems to be some confusion in the reviews about the “filter”. It uses paper filters and says so in the brochure that comes with the maker. The instructions are very clear and comprehensive. However, Amazon’s AI “Rufus” says it uses a reusable filter, implying it comes with the coffee maker. That is incorrect. Sometimes AI gets things wrong or incorrect. Best to read lots of reviews and read the product descriptions carefully. This is a great coffee maker. IT USES PAPER FILTERS. Have been using this coffee maker every morning for about 2 weeks. So far, so good. Makes excellent coffee (I use Black Rifle Coffee). Operation is simple and straightforward. Controls are well thought out and easy to decipher. The keep warm function for half a pot is handy as I just make half a pot. No burned taste due to overheating. There are quite a few coffee makers of this type which obviously copy the one made in the Netherlands (which is very expensive and also gets great reviews). As usual Krups engineers have done a great job producing a not cheap but reasonably priced unit that functions perfectly. Can’t speak to longevity, but will update review if there is a problem in the future. Highly recommended. One reviewer complained there is no way to shut off the drip if removing the carafe prematurely. Actually, there is. A simple slide switch on the filter holder can be set to full brew/flow, slow brew/flow, or shutoff flow. No drip on warming plate if shut off.

Broken on/off switch within a month – Krups refused to replace it
Upon receipt this coffee maker was great. It had a small footprint and brewed great coffee. However, within one month the on/off switch stopped working. The only way to turn it off was to unplug the coffee maker. I contacted Krups customer service. They did not have a fix for this problem and asked that I send the product back to them for further evaluation. I requested a replacement which they denied. This was unacceptable to me that we had to go without a coffee maker or outlay money to buy a new one. They would not budge.I then contacted Amazon customer service. It took about an hour on the phone, after being repeatedly put on hold, but Amazon refunded my money for the product.We will keep the coffee maker and live with unplugging it to turn it off. But shame on Krups for not being willing to replace the product. I would think they would want to know why the on/off switch stopped working after 4 weeks.Kudos to Amazon for refunding us.

This Makes the Best Tasting Coffee, and is Fast and Simple to Use!
What a nice surprise! After a very long life, our Mr. Coffee brand finally failed and we were in need of an immediate replacement. After a lot of online research, this coffee machine came up repeatedly as one of the highest rated brands by both consumers and independent reviews. (1) Fast and simple to setup out of the box and great instructions, (2) Have had this now for about a month, and we are convinced that this German coffeemaker was the best choice we could have made, (3) No kidding, you can actually taste the difference, probably because this machine seems to visually percolate the water before dripping / spraying on the coffee grounds (like the old school coffee makers my Mom used long, long ago!) (4) This machine three simple electric switches: user and finger prooof! (5) Takes minimal space in our little coffee area (6) Coffee temp is absolutely perfect – just right, (7) We were both surprised that the brew time was sooooo short, (8) Total unpacking, manual reading and physical set-up time was less than 10 minutes! This Krups machine is the real deal, very well thought out: – seriously, the engineers in Germany outdid themselves! Don’t waste any more time looking, this machine gets an A+

What Iâve been looking for.
I read a few mixed reviews on this coffee maker, but decided to give it a go.Iâve had it about a month now, and I make one to two pots a day in it.The coffee comes out great. Robust and full. Some of that has to do with the fresh beans I use, but I give the machine credit as well.It seems to brew at a perfect temperature and even has a âHalf potâ option where it backs it down a bit so it doesnât burn the coffee and ruin the flavor.Price was high, but so far worth it.I personally think it is a very nice looking machine and goes great on my little coffee bar.The pieces are washable and very easy to disassemble and clean as well.Like I said, not the cheapest, but Iâm this far thoroughly satisfied on all counts with my Krups.
