Great for ps5
Bought for my nephew for Xmas. 8tb is the max size a ps5 can read and for $110, it’s hard to complain. The fact it matches appearance-wise with the ps5 console makes it better. It works good too.

Ok so like many of us, I don’t write reviews, this thing was just delivered this morning and all I can say is….GET IT.for starters, the price is perfect for what you are getting… Seriously, go look around for legit external hard drives and you will see them between 200 to 250 at like best buy etc… buying a hard drive online is…sketchy to say the least… Hit or miss and sometimes you run into drives that are totally fake and make it look like they have a lot of storage though fake partitions and tricking the system. Idk how they do it but it happened to me before as well….twice.Since my PS5 decided to no longer to no longer detect my original 8tb drive (my fault I suppose I was unplugging it incorrectly when I moved it to another room several times)… At least this is my assumption. It does work on my PC and I tried everything to get it to work on my PS5 again… I have over 600 games stored on that drive and I wasn’t looking for to it.Well, this device showed up today, in wonderful professional packaging, the design of the enclosure looks similar to the PS5, soles with cables, ac adapter, a stand to keep it from tipping over easily, and it was a simple plug and play.Let me say that again… Plug.and.play. meaning, it was detected as a PS5 drive just like the way it was advertised. I don’t know about everyone else but, small things like this along with a little quick start guide in the box just helps make this feel like it came from Sony and not from a company I haven’t heard of before. This is the way you show pride in your product!Now for all I know, this was an old server hard drive, purchased super cheap and put inside of this enclosure. Truth is, it’s a storage device, you never look at it once you hook it up! But the entire experience is what makes it feel like a quality product.So far in about 3 hrs I have nearly half my games installed, speeds are fine, loading is fine, drive is quiet, lights up white like my PS5, it’s just great. Go get it!

Awesome external hard drive easy to save and pretty quick to copy back games.Highly recommend definitely not an internal drive but for the money can’t be beat.

Buyer Beware: lost all my games twice
I was so excited when I bought this, but after plugging it in and downloading over 800 GB worth of games that took me over 36 hours to download, it worked twice when i played games from it, then out of nowhere, it crashed, and gave me an error saying “usb hardware needs to be repaired, not unplugged properly.” I hadnt touched it, but i hit repair and then it said “cant be repaired, must reformat.” I was sooo bummed but thought maybe i had done something and didnt realize it so i reformatted, losing all my games and time, and i reinstalled only 100GB of games this time. Same thing, it let me use it twice and then same error. Lost everything. I hadny touched or moved it at all. Waste of money, too easily damaged. Wont buy again and i suggest u dont either. 🙁

optisch und technisch alles in feiner Ordnungals Deutscher lieber über Amazon US einkaufen und nach Deutschland schicken lassen. Graugear ist das europäische Pendant – kostet aber eben das Doppelte. Für Ãsterreicher vielleicht noch wichtig, das man sich bestimmte Artikel nicht senden lassen kann (so wie diesen) einfach eine Lieferanschrift über die Firma LogoiX erstellen und von dort für kleines Geld nachsenden lassen.

The size is great, the look is great, works great, but we Brits in England use a 3 pin plug so why did it come with a Canadian 2 flat bladed plug, it’s a good job I had a plug adapter I use for my lamp, now I need to buy one to replace that.

Pros. Price point for the size of storage. On the cheaper end of the 8tb drives. Good value.Cons. The actual drive is a refurbished network drive. Mine came with 30,000 âpower-onâ hours. The case appears brand new but the drive isnât. A standard lifetime for a drive is 43,800 hours or 5 years.Format of the drive slightly lowers the overall capacity. It is an 8tb drive but only 7.35tb is useable.Does store my ps3, ps4, and ps5 games. Ps3 and ps4 are playable from the drive. Ps5 is not (Sony restricts this, there isnât an external drive available anywhere that will play ps5 from the drive itself).All in all Iâm happy with the purchase, my only âregretâ is not buying a smaller cheaper version. I like the case and the look of the case, but since Iâm replacing the hdd inside in the near future, I could have saved half the cost buying the cheapest (3tb) one and adding a new 8tb hdd myself.

Die verbaute Festplatte war acht Jahre alt, wurde knapp 200 mal gestartet und hatte über 6.000 Betriebsstunden hinter sich. Habe ich sofort zurück geschickt und auch problemlos mein Geld erhalten.
