This item replaced a very antiquated thermostat. This keeps the temperature much more steady, with better precision. There are far fewer temperature fluctuations. I appreciate the easy-to-use functions on the thermostat. The backlight is convenient. The display is easy to read. The installation was not difficult. It is worth the money!

Perfect simple setback thermostat
Ok, this is just the best thermostat for some who wants an intuitive simple to use thermostat. No tough programming or downloading apps and needing passwords. I wanted a setback thermostat for my heat pump as Iâm on time of use electric rates. I was nervous abt all the little wires as Iâm color blind and canât easily differentiate wire color. I took pictures before I removed the wires from old thermostat. Then I removed them one at a time installing them in the same lettered terminals on new thermostat. It maybe took 15 minutes. That was it, new thermostat is easy to read and program. Directions are clear and concise if you need them. This is an excellent product. Compliments to Emerson.You wonât regret getting this product.

Simple to Install and Easy to Use for my Heat Pump System
This thermostat is very low frills. No WiFi, no sensors, no touchscreen, so its a very basic programmable thermostat. Nevertheless, it works well. The backlight is nice, when the lighting in the room is dim.My system is a heat pump, with auxiliary heat strips. The manual switch that allows me to use only the auxiliary heat is helpful, when the outside temps drop below zero deg. F and the heat pump struggles to supply warmth. I like the fact that the jumper between the 1st stage (heat pump) and 2nd stage (auxiliary heat) was preinstalled. The terminals for the wiring appear sturdy, and it was easy to connect the wires for my system. For looks, I installed the optional F61-2663 Wall Plate, which covered up the the unpainted portion of the wall from the prior t-stat. 1-month since installing the unit, I am satisfied with its performance.

good thermostat for a heat pump system
This thermostat so far works well with my YERK HEAT PUMP SYSTEM. It was easy to install and set up, just follow the instructions. Emerson installation videos are helpful.

I had to replace my old Emerson / White Rodgers thermostat and based on prior reviews, I picked this one and Iâm so glad I did. Even though itâs a little wider than my old one, the holes matched up perfectly! Installation was quick too!

Perfect replacement for my old White-Rogers thermostat! Even the mounting ”holes” matched up with the old one… Took me 10 minutes to remove the old one and install this one! Works like a charm… My system, a Thermopump/AC unit on the outside of my house with a furnace on the inside (all electric system)… Swapped the 6 wires from the old into the new thermostat and bingo… ALL GOOD!!!
