Good phone
Pros:The phone is not too wide; easy to holdThe phone is long; easy to use NFCGood cameras. Optical zoom 5×3.5mm jackLED notification lightDual sim slot (2x sim or 1 sim + microSD) that I can take out using fingers, without any toolsNo display cutout: the upper side of the screen is flat, there are no holes in the display for the cameraPhysical proximity sensorThe frame is made out of metal (at least it feels like it)The heat spreads evenly, there are no hot spotsThe back is not made out of glass. The phone is not too slippery and can be used without caseFingerprint scanner on power button is kinda coolCons:The phone is long, it might feel inconvenient in the pocketNo esim. No big deal, but I forgot that XQ-CT54 and XQ-CT72 are different phones and did not checkI heard that fingerprint scanner will break after a year of use. But it works for now (1 month)When bootloader is unlocked USB debugging enables automatically on each reboot, even when developer options are disabled. This happens on Android 13 & 14, and when I relock bootloader the issue disappear. The phone body has gaps (primarily for speakers, but also on the back between back cover and frame) which collect dust and not easy to clean

Great Deal on a Great Phone
Don’t know if Sony will continue making phones so wanted to get one before they stop. I wouldn’t have paid their original retail price but for the price I paid, this phone beats them all. Classic design and features – the best REAL pictures that aren’t messed with by the phone’s computer like Apple and Samsung. Sure their pictures are beautifully saturated with color, but I’m done with the awe and ready for a bit of reality. Flipping through apps and stuff on the screan is amazing – fast! The screen color and depth is just unbelievable. The LOVE the headphone jack and pairing with my Sony WH-1000XM5’s I get increadable sound wired as expected (down to 4 Hz!), but even with Bluetooth the LDAC produces better than CD quality. Love the setup. So if you like music and photography, I don’t think there are any better.

A well-rounded package.
Replaced my water-damaged Mark III with this. I find the previous version’s form factor having better ergonomics; but I like that one can disable that annoying always-on fingerprint reader with this one.Pretty much as speedy as the previous one. And that gorgeous display is back!I don’t have VoWifi. I had no 5G connectivity at the beginning either, but I got that to work by sacrificing the set’s dual-SIM capability. *#*#INFO#*#*, tap phone options and disable DSSD or something along those lines. No going back from that though, but then you’re 5G ready all the time; and while I do miss that second SIM slot when travelling, the benefit balances the scales nicely for me.The main camera temperature seems a bit cooler than the one on the predecessor; otherwise there is nothing of note to distinguish between the two. As novel a feature as it may be, I am not convinced that the limited range of the variable lens is enough to suggest a sensible upgrade over the Mark III.Plenty internal space too; makes that micro SD slot provision feel redundant for most people; but if you’re as finicky with the quality of your multimedia files (seeing that this thing is squarely aimed at audio/video-philes) as I am, you’ll find its availability an equally welcome blessing as that of that headphone jack.A noticable improvement in the battery as well; lasts a bit longer than the Mark 3 off a single charge. The older model charges up a bit quicker though. That missing star’s due to the omission of the data transfer cable. Ya, I know.

Not compatible with T-Mobile 5G.
The phone has a great camera but it is barely usable in the USA with T-Mobile. I spent several hours with T-Mobile in store tech support and with Sony’s online tech support and no one could get the phone to perform any better better than 2G speeds. I contacted the seller and they sent a return label (not prepaid) and the phone was returned to the seller. The seller has an insane restocking fee and charging me a restocking fee of $690.47 for a phone they misrepresented on Amazon. Stay away from this company.

FAST phone. Works on ATT VOLTE but no 5G
I live in usa and bought this to use on ATT, network wise it works exactly like my US model xperia 1 ii did volte provisioned and ims registered, unfortunately theres no actual 5G despite claims on Reddit or XDA that it does. It will say 5G but not connected to any NR bands, doesnt bother me though i still get 100mbps+ on LTE where i live***2 month update*Device is still working great. It from my understanding it will get actual 5g on tmobile, this is verision to get unless you have verizon in US, the CT62 US model bootloader is not unlocked. It is also not shown anywhere but this model is the CT72 with CUSTOMIZED TAIWAN firmware. You will not be able to get BRAVIA CORE on this model from playstore. Remember to disable DSDS mode if youre not running dual sim, battery life is improved with this disabled. The phone is much improved over my xperia 1 ii, the sceeen is very bright, haptic feedback are the best than any other phone i have used, fingerprint sensor is accurate, the cameras are FAST, the phones criticisms of over heating are blown out of proportion IMO. Ive Only seen the hot warning sign when i first got it and it was downloading updates/applying at the same i was taking quite a few continuous photos. This seller is slow to ship, prepare to wait a while to get your item to actually ship out, they will mark it shipped but mine didnt get in fedex hands untill the 8th day. They also ship it in a bubble wrapped fedex bag, could of easily been crushed, pretty disappointing to ship out a 1k phone in a bag. Luckily mine was intact and undamaged.

I used expedited shipping. The phone is as advertised although I will state they don’t have the correct specs listed, the resolution IS 4k not the 1080p as stated, and the Android version is actually 13, not 9. Also the phone size is incorrect but thay must be including the box, as there is no charger inlcuded(due to Sony not including it, not the seller) but they were kind enough to include a travel adaptor as well! And the file size is around 500gb as stated thankfully! Works with Optus 100% because it’s a GSM operator. I was a little worried about if the phone would be the correct one due to past reviews for the company but they delivered in the end.
