Only 1080P, 720P video resolution available when using Vertical Video mode
Camera is easy to work with, stabilization of image is great compared to SJCAM C110 which is the first camera that I purchased because it said it had image stabilization, but video was very shaky. I returned it and purchased the C300 model after reading reviews and watching reviews on Youtube. The drawback I have with this camera is that if you decide to use the Vertical Video mode on this camera you will only get the option to select 1080P or 720P video resolution. 4K, 2K and the other video resolutions are only available when Vertical Video is not selected.

Compact action Camera
The SJCAM 300 is a small compact camera. I like the features it has for video and photo options. I was able to get night photos of the stars by selecting in night mode and a setting the time to 30 secs to capture the night sky. The touch screen is nice, but was not responsive all the time not sure if it was the cold weather, but it seem like my finger was not able to toggle between setting at times. The water housing is a plus, have not used it in water but used as an added layer of protection incase of a drop. The micro SD card slot is a little challenging at first, flips out to insert card. Other than that still need to use it more, so far liking the camera. For the price point good choice if you are just getting into action cameras.

Good value
It’s a good value camera that comes with all the accessories you need to start using it multiple ways. Seems to have long battery life – I’ve used it multiple times since I’ve gotten it and haven’t recharged yet (though I haven’t used it for one extended period of time).My only reason for taking away the star is that the 4K resolution isn’t as crisp as I’d hoped.It’s still a good action camera nonetheless.

Image quality is OK but not great; app crashes.
I charged this device up, put in a new microSD card (512 GB worked even though it says only 128 GB is supported). Using my calculations, with Bit Rate set to High, I predict you can store about 11.5-hours worth of 4K video in a 128 GB card (around 23 mbps). Thus, the image quality is not that great — even at the camera’s best setting. The audio bit rate was 91 kbps — horrible quality. This is a low-budget action/selfie camera. You will definitely need your own microphone. Save your money and buy something better if you need the quality, as this doesn’t have it. And let’s not get me started on the app. After connecting my phone to the camera, it shows the recording screen on the camera on my phone but with a delay, which is not bad, but after a few seconds the app crashes and it just goes back to the main app screen and I have to connect again… only to crash again.. rinse and repeat. I almost wanted to throw this camera away, as I got really mad at it and the app. However, I’m going to keep it and use it for special situations, like recording underwater.

Nicely Made, Easy to Use, Good Image Quality, Decent EIS, Good Value for the Price
This is a really nice little camera for the price! First off, it feels nicely made and doesn’t feel cheap. I love the small size which allows for some very creative shots and also helps make it very portable. This is something that you can quickly pull out of the your pocket and start filming with little to no hassle. This camera comes with some mounting accessories which makes it even easier to use. One of the accessories is a waterproof housing which I used and can report that no water got inside.The image quality on this is quite good for the price and the size of the camera. The photos really shine and are crisp and clear. The 4K video is pretty good and very usable. The image stabilization is actually not bad on this but I think there is a little room for improvement. The EIS should be able to be improved with firmware updates so I hope they do this. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not terrible and it does work quite well, I just think it can be a little better. I am not expecting GoPro or Osmo Action stabilization, but I have seen better on some of SJCam’s other cameras. All photos and videos on this review were taken straight off the sdcard and have not been edited in any way.The battery life is pretty good and doesn’t take that long to charge either. It can be used while charging if need be and can be charged from a power bank, too.This camera can connect to the SJCam app which makes downloading your photos and videos to your smartphone or tablet very easy and quick. The app is also set up nicely and you can easily switch between settings (you will need the app to change most settings). Because this process is so easy, you can share your photos and videos on all social media platforms quickly.All things considered, I really like this little camera for the price and it has a lot of nice features packed into it. Because of it’s small statue, I was able to get very creative with the types of shots I can shoot.

Very affordable quality camera – small and lightweight – great for sports/action
Took me a while to get this going since it’s tiny and has tiny print/buttons/setup and I’m apparently quickly going blind (not really, just middle-age myopia).But once it was up and going, this SJCAM C300 4K30FPS 20MP Mini Action Camera Pocket Wearable Cam turned out to be a TON of fun at a very affordable price.Very well protected from whatever action, adventure, or misadventure you find yourself in.Large capacity to store, so you can shoot in high def for quite a while without having to stop.Lots of functionality, too – well beyond my first trials. Definitely looking forward to multi-use situations beyond scintillating landscaping daredevil stunts and live recording of seminars.It’s very well built – solid, should hold up to some clonks and clunks. The case should keep it safe and dry as the adventures get extra outdoorsy.This is a lot of fun in a tiny package – would make a great gift for an active youngster or someone who’s not ready to go full “pro.” Essentially same functions at a better entry price.
