Powerful scan tool.
POWERFUL! This is a really nice scan tool for the money, amazing features, the software is really easy to use. It has a lot of bidirectional tests for a lot of brands. It does a complete scan really fast and the report feature is very comprehensive. Battery seems to last forever overall a really complete tool for this price range.

A great scan tool for any level from DYI to Advance/Master Tech. Great quality, budget friendly, not too heavy or bulky. Great scan tool
So far Iâve had it for a couple of weeks and I can definitely say that it is worth the money. Good quality scanner and very responsive/fast when you connect it to a vehicle. A lot of independent shops are starting to use Autel, this is definitely a great entry scan tool that does more than read codes.

Great device for its price point.
This is a very good scanner. At this price point, I do not know how much more they could pack into this device. It has full bi-directional capabilities, live data, OBD-II and seems to service most makes and models.Most devices can show graphs for live data. Each data point, for example, engine RPM, engine coolant temperature sensor, misfire cylinder one, cylinder two, cylinder three etc., is its own individual graph. On the MK-900 device, you can combine the graphs into one graph for comparative analysis, and that was very notable.Well layed out display and logical buttons.

Not for Mitsubishi Montero Sport Year 2000 – for 500 USD
I bought this Autel to diagnose one car, Mitsubishi Monetro Sport 2000, V6 3.0. I registered the device on Autel’s website, all went fine.The scanner cannot read and decode the VIN, manual entry, scanning works neither. My other 49.9 USD bluetooth dongle (NOT Autel) can do this without a problem. Many active tests do not work either as the device only knows very few Mitsubishi models (Lancer, Outlander, etc.), but for example, not Montero, not Pajero, although these are popular models.I contacted customer service via the scanner, they asked for the VINin question, I was hopeful…. of course after giving them the VIN, they NEVER reverted back. Disappointment again.I could swallow this for a 50 USD device but 500 USD for a simple tablet brick is way too much. Do not buy this if you have to diagnose a Mitsu built before 2005.

As a former Automotive Educator, a lot of people seek my advice on scan tools. I’ve been recommending Autel tools since they roared onto the scene almost 20 years ago. The competition in the scan tool field is intense today, but Autel is still right out there with the best of them at the front of the pack. One thing I really like about Autel tools is their usability. They are super-user friendly and intuitive. From their basic entry level tools to their high end tools the basic layout and functionality is the same. That is really nice if you have a few different levels of tools in the shop. You can bounce from one to the other without having to re-learn the interface. There is little to no time wasted learning how to use an Autel scan tool. You just pick it up do what you need to do. For a busy Automotive tech to whom time is money, that is a very very important feature. For less than $600 this scanner is a crazy good value. It definitely gets my “thumbs up”!

Very capable scanner with bi directional control
This is a nice upgrade from our previous autel models. Really like the USB c charging port instead of the outdated one on some of the older units. This one has good live data and bi directional control, and allows plate number input to create reports. We have used it on a few different makes so far with no issues at all. We have found the autel works better than launch on GM platform vehicles, especially the older ones. A couple things that would be nice to see in the future would be a search function on live data, and a button to go back to the main diagnostic screen without having to click the back button a bunch of times.
