Customers say
Customers find this flip phone simple to use and appreciate its excellent battery life, sound quality, and sturdiness. They consider it good value for money, with one customer noting it’s particularly suitable for seniors. The functionality and WiFi connectivity receive mixed reviews – while it works flawlessly as a feature phone, some customers report it doesn’t work at all, and while Bluetooth is wonderful, one customer couldn’t activate it on their network.

Best flip phone for todays lifestyle!
I am not a “smartphone” user. I hate the anxiety they bring. i used to be a nokia fan. But every flip phone i had from them would white screen on me & static screen on me. i also had their candy bar phones which were my favourite, form factor wise. it really sucks that they are not really usable in the u. S. A. Which is why i had to return them. sadly. also tried cheap off brand ones. which were horrible. But this tcl flip is everything i looked for. A phone should be a phone. Not a television/computer/etc. I can make clear calls & text when i need to. I live in a rural area so thats why i needed wifi. But shoot, even for funsies i can change the ringtones AND notification sounds. this little phone is perfect! It was my last try before giving up on my search for a simple phone & boy am I happy with it! Just wish it had more language options instead of just englisch/spanish/french. The battery in great. Calls are clear HD. Bluetooth is wonderful & fast & it works with mint mobile!

Great thing, just a phone!
I have used a number of old style flip phones over the years. Have not ever had a “smart” phone. Very happy with the speaker clarity, and basis functions. The price was very reasonable, good value for a 4G, GSM, unlocked phone. Easy to use, nothing fancy. For those who like “just a phone”, this fits the bill. I really don’t want to carry a tablet around all the time. Small phone size is great. If someone want to call me they can. If I want to call, this does the job.

Excellent simple phone compatible with Verizon network
The TCL Go Flip 2 4058G is an excellent flip phone that works great on Verizon’s network (via US Mobile’s “Warp” service). It supports the critical (for Verizon) 4G LTE Band 13, in addition to bands B2/4/5/12/66/71/25/26/41. Currently a great value, but may soon become scarce with the introduction of the Flip 3, which unfortunately has a more complicated interface – and apparently software issues per the reviews. The Flip 2 UI is uncluttered and responsive, its easy to increase the font size for better visibility, has long battery life (~14 hrs talk or ~18 days standby) and USB-C power input. We wanted a simple way to call and text without needing reading glasses, and were not interested in apps or browsing with this phone. If you prioritize ease of use and battery life over features like apps or camera quality, the Flip 2 is a better choice than the Flip 3 and half the cost!Purchased from eKings.

Retro technology wasn’t that great.
The positive thing is that it does work on T-Mobile and sends and receives phone calls. However, all other features are 25 year old technology. Entering text on a phone keypad is a pain. The browser is horrible. I couldn’t set up either my yahoo or gmail accounts. The screen resolution for videos is terrible. But I did pair with Bluetooth on my smartphone and imported my contacts.Bottom line is that it’s OK for making voice calls, but useless for everything else, but what did I expect for $29.Update. Although I get a message to enable WiFi calling, the phone doesn’t have an option to enable it, so I assume it’s not supported. Because of this I’m changing my rating from 2 stars to 1 star.

How to get a simple, inexpensive, practical phone
The item is everything I wanted. It is totally compatible with Verizon service and easy initiate.

Not Verizon Compatible!!
The details say it is compatible with all carriers; it is not. I just tried to activate it with Verizon, and they are unable to activate it on their network. If you are looking for a phone like this that is compatible with Verizon’s network, this isn’t your phone!

Handy little flip phone, worked perfectly for our needs.
We bought this as a low-tech backup way to keep in contact with our grandchild while on a trip with him. To our surprise, he used it to take pictures to document his favorite sites and also to text pictures to his parents. Weâd considered giving him one of our old smartphones, but it was so much better for him to have a device that didnât have distracting internet apps. The phone worked perfectly (we activated it on our US Mobile account using a physical SIM card), and it was easy enough to transfer the pictures to a Windows laptop after the trip (we never managed to get a Mac laptop to connect to the phone for some reason).

Simple is Better
I saw some of the reviews on here complain that this phone doesnât have features that some would expect from a smart phone, yet thatâs exactly why this product was perfect. My father is a dinosaur and still uses a flip phone. He needed a new phone. This does the same thing as his last one, except itâs even more streamlined than before. It does require the smaller version of the SIM card, which should just require you pushing it out of the bigger plastic that makes it. Transferring contacts didnât work well from the SIM card. Thatâs the only downside from my experience. Had to use an microSD card and import them. This could be troublesome for those who arenât tech savvy. Wifi calling is a bonus. Worked with Verizon. If thereâs any issues in the future, Iâll be sure to update this review. Happy with this purchase!
