all purpose laptop
This laptop with the 7 7730U is a good choice for users who want a laptop that can handle work and play without draining the battery or breaking the bank. Itâs not a gaming powerhouse, but you can definitely get high frame rates out of a lot of games, especially ones made a few years ago. It can handle everyday tasks and definitely holds its own. Itâs light weight and fits itâs comfortably in a backpack. It comes with all the ports you need USB, USB C HDMI out. Packed with 16 gigs ram and 512 gig hard drive. Iâve had a blast using this laptop for work and playing video games.

This mini PC works well for what it is. Out of the box, Windows 11 is installed but not licensed, so you will need to purchase your own license key to access certain features. I inspected the installed programs and didn’t find anything immediately glaring, and the only non-stock programs I could find were for the LCD and RGB strip control. However, these two programs didn’t show up in control panel or task manager, despite both launching on boot. This makes me a bit suspect because if they could hide these programs, who’s to say they can’t hide some other malicious program that will come to haunt you down the line? Based on this and general best-practices for any computer, I would recommend reinstalling a fresh copy of whatever operating system you choose to use. I chose to use Ubuntu 24.04 because I am running this as a server, but the CPU felt decently snappy on both Windows and Linux. There was no hesitation in opening programs or completing tasks, which you commonly see with lightweight mobile CPUs. This means the computer can easily be used as an everyday computer without feeling like you’re making compromises.Moving on to the build quality, this is clearly where they skimped to make this price point. The whole construction is plastic and is quite flexible, but you won’t feel it when you leave it on your desk. The vertical mount leaves some holes for the intake, but since it’s pressed against the bottom, there’s not much air that can get in. Due to this, I would suspect the temperatures and performance to be slightly worse in the vertical position than laying it flat, though it probably wouldn’t matter for a computer at this power level. Both the vertical mount and side panel are mounted with magnets, which makes it exceptionally easy to service the computer. The connectors for the LCD and RGB strip are right under the side panel, and I unplugged them to save power since I am running this as a server. If you don’t have the control programs installed or are using Linux, the LCD will simply display the BIOS time (which may not be accurate) and the RGB strip displays whatever setting you selected last.Moving on to some final notes, you need to be aware that the second empty M.2 slot is SATA only. I originally got this computer with the intention of running two NVME drives in RAID configuration, but the second drive could not be detected since it’s not SATA. This was mentioned in the product description, so it’s on me for not paying attention. I also wish that there could have been at least one USB-C port on the computer. The product images do not show the USB panel, but it has two USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.1 ports. Replacing one of those ports for USB-C would make the I/O a lot more versatile, and should honestly be a given in this day and age. For all these considerations combined, I will take off one star, but the computer remains more than usable overall, and is a great budget option to get yourself standard desktop functionality without any frills.

Fast, Smooth, and Great for Everyday Use
This laptop has been awesome for both work and daily use. It starts up quickly, runs super smooth, and handles everything I throw at it, from browsing and streaming to editing and multitasking. The screen is bright and clear, and the battery lasts a decent amount of time. It also has plenty of storage and the design feels modern and solid. Great value for the price.

Amazing Mini PC
For a versatile computer, the ACEMAGIC S1 Mini PC is unbeatable. It comes with a 12th Gen Alder Lake-N95 processor and 16GB RAM which allows you multitask without any problem. You donât have to worry about its storage with 512GB SSD available while UHD graphics ensure astonishing 4K video playback. I love the fact that it has two HDMI ports that make setting up multiple monitors very simple. In addition, there is an inbuilt LCD screen and RGB lighting for extra effect. Simple and working Mini PC
The Mini PC was bought for simple to medium tasks at my home office and as an extension to my main pc so I can use it for few downloads, browsing some non secure sites and other entertainment options. The PC was easy and simple to setup. The personal screen helps check the performance and is an added advantage. Didnât experience any loud noises. Performs almost as good as my normal PC. Connects well to the network with the cable or the wifi. I tried the Bluetooth and works with my wireless headphones and printer. All in all a god purchase for the home or office for the price.
