Colleen Helme is an amazing writer with a wonderful way with words. Shelby Nichols is a fun, entertaining character who I love reading her adventures. Then you have Ramos and Joey Manetto part of the adventure it couldnât be better. I love this series and look forward to reading more from Colleen Helme.

Short and sweet
I liked the interaction between Shelby and Ramos throughout this very short read. Uncle Joey also made my day with his witty and cunning takedowns of his opponent, of course he had help from the dynamic duo but he is still a lovable bad guy. This novella made my day. Great job once again Ms. Helme short and sweet!

Good Series w/ a Caveat
I love the Shelby Nichols series! Combining fantasy with everyday life is a definite draw for me, despite the knowledge that real life just doesn’t work that way, lol. But it’s fun nonetheless.Doesn’t matter the plot, or the characters, all books are about relationships of some kind, fiction or non-fiction. So, I’d like to comment on the relationship of a very happily married woman flirting and fantasizing about another sexy, unattached man, who is also a main character. The borderline relationship has endured through all of the Shelby Nichols books and is the only thing the keeps me from giving this a 5 star rating.In this latest book the “big” tease continues and seems to be a mainstay of this series. However, the reality is no woman, however much a devoted, loving wife is and close to sainthood by constantly resisting the sexy, available man is too much to even consider long-term, regardless of the whole fantasy. At some point, something has to go or change to resolve this. As much fun as it is to fantasize about keeping an alluring man as a “third” in this series, I would like to see a resolution. Either the husband has to leave the series or the alluring, sexy man needs an exit or his very own love interest that lets the Shelby character fall into good, safe friend territory.Other than that I do love this series and always look for a new Shelby Nichols book!

Good story.
I enjoyed this novella. This is a very good series. Shelby wants to earn her PI license and gets involved .to find a stolen statuette. Even though this is 54 pages, there is a lot of action and humor. If you like this series, I recommend it.

Shelby must put in a lot of hours working for a PI in order to apply for her private investigator license. But the private detective she ends up working for is not a nice guy. But she manages to solve her case and get her hours using her powers for good as always.

License to Steal is an excellent addition to the Shelby Nichols series and I LOVE that series. She is one of the few authors whose short stories and novellas I loved. I first read License to Steal in the anthology Seasoned Magic, but I had to have a standalone copy because I love it so much. All the fun of the other Shelby Nichols buts is there with only a little of the danger and of course, Ramos.

Colleen Helme never disappoints! Shelby, Uncle Joey, and Ramos are the best. You will never guess what they get involved with next. Always a good mystery and a great many chuckles and some down right laugh out louds.Don’t miss out on one of the best series written with sharp wit and a bit of sexual innuendo. Colleen can’t write fast enough for me!
