Best Budget Ride for Students â Donât Think, Just Press Buy
If you’re a student on a budget and need a reliable set of wheels to get aroundâlook no further. Press buy. Seriously. Two years ago, I was in your shoesâcommuting to college and scouring through over 150 listings, comparing every detail across multiple platforms. I needed something practical, fast, and funâand this bike checked every single box.Assembly took me around 2 hours. Itâs easy if you’re patient, and the real joy kicks in when you ride it for the first time. It handles like a dreamâsmooth, responsive, and super comfortable. I live in Miami, so Iâve tested this baby through it all: heatwaves, sudden storms, heavy rainsâyou name it. And it delivered. Whether it was blazing sun or downpour chaos, the frame held up strong and the ride stayed consistent. This bike is built for real-world, unpredictable weather. The electric mode gives you solid range; I did 12 miles on a full charge and still had one-third of the battery left. Thatâs incredible mileage for city commutes. The frame is sturdy and well-made, and it never once gave me a problem in two full years.Eventually, I moved on to a car and passed this gem to another studentâbut saying goodbye wasnât easy. This bike gave me freedom, convenience, and a ton of good memories. If you’re on the fence, donât be. Itâs not just a commuterâitâs a legit upgrade to your student life.

Fantastic bike, exceeded expectations!
UPDATE: SELLER DID THE RIGHT THING(REFUNDED COST OF REPLACEMENT OF BENT FRONT WHEEL)The bike arrived well packaged but the front wheel is shaped like an S, it’s bent up pretty good ðThe bike is otherwise in good working condition.I have contacted the seller to see if they can issue a replacement wheel for me. Still a good value at this price and I can’t wait to ride it.Update: front wheel came bent like a Taco ð®Seller refunded the cost of replacing the front wheel which was the fastest solution for me to get the bike on the road.Top speed full assist 27mph.Average speed under full throttle is ~25mphI ride this 12 miles to work and home round trip every day. When I get home after 12 miles riding full throttle and no assist I have 75-80% battery capacity remaining.I forgot to charge it overnight and road it to work and home twice (24 miles total) and the battery is at 50%Total rage is probably ~50 miles under full throttle, no pedal assist.Seat is comfortable, acceleration is good, I reach top speed before I get through an intersection, generally I pull ahead of traffic until I get to speed which is nice.Car drivers be steady hating tho, watch out for the crazy car drivers, wear a helmet when you take it through town.My first ebike and I’m already looking at 3000w hubs to upgrade this one ðYou can drop in a different battery pack, the controller supports 48v 52v and 60v packs.Came with 48v 13Ah pack, you could easily drop in a 30Ah battery, effectively more than doubling the already amazing range. 30Ah would make this bike good for over 100 miles range.Idk the full charge time because I charge every night after 12-13 miles usage. It’s charged back up within 2 hours tho.

Terrible product! Terrible customer service!
The rear axle failed! The threads on the axle shaft and the locking nut broke causing the rear tire to lock up and in turn causing on nasty wreck. Thankfully not into oncoming traffic! Bike is still under warranty, but the customer service is terrible, I have been waiting for two months, was asked to load a video on youtube, and provide multiple layers of information, only for it to be waiting for a tech team to review. Don’t buy this cheap product!

Works great, but some poor quality control
I really like my Pexmor Ebike. It has plenty of power to move me up hills (at 310 lbs). The seat is comfortable. The brakes work well. The shifters work smoothly.Let me discuss the electric control. The throttle works very nicely. I had ridden other ebikes that had a split handgrip (the outside end is fixed, the inside inch and a half or so is the throttle). I was a bit concerned that I might accidentally activate the throttle since there was no fixed part of the handgrip, but this is not a problem at all.The pedal assist modes are really nice. I’ve ridden other e-bikes where as soon as you start pedaling the PAS jumps in and you are almost immediately at the PAS speed. That makes my wife feel like she’s not in control, so she was hesitant to get an e-bike. In contrast, on this Pexmor, you have to pedal a couple of revolutions before the motor kicks in, and then it kicks in and accelerates in a controlled manner up to the PAS speed. It’s convenient, comfortable, and controllable. My wife tried it, and she really liked it. She’ll let me buy her an e-bike now.Going up hills, PAS level 1 is a little too slow for me. But PAS level 2 picked up and helped me climb a hill that I would have been standing up to pedal if I were in manual mode. Not so great for the exercise, but great for the convenience. I think I’m really going to like my PAS mode e-bike. I get as little (or as much) help as I want. Why only 4 stars? There was a quality control issue on my bike. The instructions show the battery mount coming pre-attached to the frame. On my bike, the battery mount was not pre-attached. When I tried to attach it, I found out that the three screw lugs in the frame used to attach the battery mount were not in a straight line, so I could only put two screws in. The battery is quite heavy, and I thought that it would not be a good idea to use only two screws, so I filed a wide spot in the aluminum mounting bracket. With all three screws in place, I tried to mount the battery, only to find that it wouldn’t slide in to the bracket. The bracket wasn’t flat! Looking more closely, I found that the lugs on the frame were supposed to fit into a groove in the plastic part of the battery mount. But with the misaligned lugs, they didn’t fit. So I used a razor knife to cut a wide spot in the plastic groove, and then the battery mount fit, and the battery fit the mount, and I’m in business.I’m a pretty handy guy, with a garage full of tools. I had what I needed to fix the mount. Had I not been so handy, I might have had to exchange the bike (since the problem was with the lugs welded to the frame). And with the shipping costs involved, I’d not have been happy to do that. So I’ve taken off a star. I don’t know how often this problem might occur.I’m really happy with my bike. I’d buy another (except that my wife wants a step-through frame, which this one doesn’t have). I’d be happy to recommend it to my neighbors. The price is excellent. The performance is great. The comfort is outstanding. It’s just what I wanted — an inexpensive, but powerful, bike with an electric assist. I’m glad I bought it!
