I’ve been using the HP 61XL Black High-Yield Ink for years with my older HP printer, and it consistently delivers sharp, clean prints every time. I only buy the XL version and it is worth the extra costâit lasts much longer than the standard cartridge.Whether Iâm printing documents, forms, or the occasional photo, the quality is always clear and professional-looking. It’s ink. What’s there to rate. Make sure you get the XL item. And don’t get the “knock-offs”. They don’t last half as long.

This ink means business. In fact, it’s almost too inky. When printing multiple pages, the ink is still ‘wet’ as the sheets come out, and there has been some smearing. Having said that, the ink does look very black and not a bit faded like the last ink we had. In the future though, I would get something cheaper that just gets the job done instead of paying $72CAD for a cartridge that’s messy!
