Best deal on an x-wing pilot helmet.
Fantastic replica of an x-wing pilot helmet. Fun to wear, and looks great. It needs additional velcro for the pads so they dont fall off. Great for halloween.

This helmet is awesome! Iâm a huge Star Wars fan, so when I see new Black Series helmets , or helmets I havenât added to my collection yet, I get them and this is a sweet addition. Looks great right next to all my other Star Wars helmets.

Lots of head space even for big heads
I didn’t think I’d like it much and that it wouldn’t fit my head, but it fits perfectly on my big head, and the quality is nice too. The design looks well made too.

One Size Fits Most
This is a really good quality helmet! It’s pretty solid, the paint scheme is well done, and the play features are a neat inclusion. That being said, if your head is maybe a little bit larger than most, this will probably be a bit of a tight fit. I own several helmets, but they were all custom-made, and came in various sizes to cater to different sized heads. This one was just big enough that it fits perfectly with zero wiggle room, which sounds great, but I do have to push my ears flat to my head with my fingers so they squeeze in. I got this to primarily be a display piece, and it fills that role remarkably! I’m planning to get a second to customize the paint scheme. All in all, a great entry-level helmet, and even if you already own several helmets, it’s inexpensive enough that it’s absolutely worth adding to your collection.

Much better than most cosplay helmets, wouldn’t use it for a real helmet obviously, but decent quality. What’s disappointing is the interior. The padding is all just small Velcro patches in really awkward places and tend to come off if you hit them wrong. Honestly rather sad when put up against the decent quality of the rest of the thing. It’s supposed to make noise I think but didn’t. There’s a switch inside and a button on the outside but it never did anything. No idea what that’s about.

Ik had niet verwacht dat hij mij zou passen.mijn hoofd is 61 cm breed in omtrek.maar past mij wel nog.de geluidjes zijn leuk, maar mag voor mij iets harder zijn. De helm is lekker licht dus ook leuk voor cosplay. Ik heb hem zelf meer voor neer het neerzetten gekocht.

Dieser Trapper Wolf-Helm ist mein erster Helm aus der Hasbro Black Series, da ich dem Angebot, ihn bei den “Prime Deal Days” für knapp über 70 Euro zu ergattern, nicht widerstehen konnte.Der Helm kam gut verpackt und in einer unbeschädigten Box bei an. Der Aufbau geht leicht von der Hand, auch wenn die Anleitung zum Helm sehr rudimentär ist. Es müssen lediglich Batterien (3 x AAA) eingelegt (Schraubendreher erforderlich) und die drei Polster an den Klettflächen im Inneren befestigt werden.Das Design des Trapper Wolf-Helms ist toll. Der Helm des X-Wing-Piloten der Neuen Republik ist schön auf alt und gebraucht getrimmt, was ihn zu einem tollen Ausstellungsstück macht. Der “Paintjob” ist zwar nicht 100%ig serienakkurat und die Schale des Kinnriemens ist deutlich zu klein geraten, aber das ist schon Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Für Hardcore-Cosplayer kann der Helm auf jeden Fall eine gute Basis sein, um ihn mit etwas Bastel- und Lackierarbeit zu einem möglichst filmakkuraten Trapper Wolf-Helm umzugestalten oder auch, um sich einen Helm mit komplett individuellem Design zu erstellen. Batteriefach und Bedienknopf lassen sich hierfür m.M.n. auch recht einfach zuspachteln.Beim ersten Anziehen war ich dann sehr froh, dass ich mit 57,5 cm einen leicht unterdurchschnittlichen Kopfumfang (für europäische Verhältnisse) habe, denn mit den Polstern sitzt der Helm bei mir seitlich schon recht eng. Menschen mit “Dickschädeln” müssen ggf. auf die lateralen Polster verzichten, bzw. sich eine andere Art der Polsterung zurechtbasteln. Nach oben hin habe ich hingegen noch etwas Luft. Ich werde das Kranialpolster daher wohl noch etwas dicker gestalten, damit der Helm nicht zu tief sitzt, denn das Visier drückt aktuell noch leicht (aber unangenehm) auf meinen Nasenrücken. Die Original-Polster dämpfen übrigens auch die Umgebungsgeräusche stark, so dass man die AuÃenwelt in dem Helm akustisch deutlich reduziert wahrnimmt. Die Mikrofonattrappe ist gut beweglich und fühlt sich robust an. Der Kinnriemen ist elastisch, verstellbar und wird innen mit Druckknöpfen fixiert. Die Kinnschale scheint mir – wie bereits erwähnt – etwas zu klein, funktioniert aber, wobei sie bei einem Bartträger wie mir schon mal leicht verrutscht.Ein gröÃerer Wermutstropfen ist für mich die Tatsache, dass das Visier sich nicht hochklappen lässt, was den LED-Beleuchtungsfeatures zu verdanken ist. Diese sind zwar eine nette Spielerei, aber an den Funksprüchen und Lichteffekten hat man sich auch schnell sattgesehen und-gehört. Da wäre mir ein Helm ohne Effekte aber mit Klappvisier lieber, vor allem, da man durch die kantige Rebellenhelm-Visierform durchaus mit gewöhnungsbedürftigen Lichtbrechungen im Sehbereich klarkommen muss und den Fakt, dass das Helmvisier bei mir aktuell (ohne weitere Helmaufpolsterung) schon mal auf der Nase aufliegt, was sehr schnell zu Striemen und Kratzern führt. Die Form und die Unbeweglichkeit des Visieres macht übrigens das Tragen einer Brille unter diesem Helm nahezu unmöglich.Alles in allem gibt es dennoch von mir die vollen fünf Sterne, da der Helm sowohl als Ausstellungsstück als auch als Bestandteil einer X-Wing-Pilotenverkleidung eine gute Figur macht. Bei letzterem können Cosplay-Clubs mit sehr peniblen Kostümregeln wie die “Rebel Legion” eventuell auch anderer Meinung sein, aber für meine Ansprüche reicht es aus. (Mit etwas Recherche, handwerklichem Geschick und Improvisationstalent kann man sich inklusive dieses Helms schon ein ansehnliches Pilotencosplay für unter 300 ⬠zusammenstellen.)
