Quality helmet.
Husband decided to get into mountain biking and our old cycling helmets were disintegrating. Due to the MTB speed and obstacles involved (high-level of risk), I did a lot of research into helmets. This was a great helmet for the cost and one of 3-4 contenders on my list. I have a big head for a female but a small face and it fit! It has proven durable, easily adjustable, and does its job. I hate wearing helmets but wheels=helmet so it is what it is. I would love for it to have extra cushion, memory foam and all that jazz but then it wouldn’t be able to do what it needs to do. I feel this helmet has a perfect balance of comfort, style, and protection. It is also one of the lightest on my list of contenders!

Excellent
Love this helmet. Was a bit wary of spending so much, but it’s top quality. Had previously ordered another brand and did not care for that one. The Smith helmet is much better looking. On the other helmet the MIPS layer was a solid bright yellow and looked odd, as if I’d forgotten to remove plastic packing material. It’s more integrated visually on the Smith helmet. My skull is at the top end of medium or bottom end of large on the sizing chart. I went with the medium and that was the right call. The fit adjusts perfectly and the adjustable three-position visor is a nice touch. In the lowest position it actually does block the sun, unlike others I’ve worn. The helmet is lightweight and well-ventilated, and I can wear it with eyeglasses with no discomfort at all. Excellent in every way. There’s also a drawstring storage bag included for the helmet.

Fantastic Helmet
This helmet is above and beyond my expectations. It’s really durable, fits like a glove, and is really stylish. Very good ventilation throughout the entire helmet. Very comfortable as well.The Matte Cinder color is just a fancy term for orange. But it’s a nice orange with a subtle greyish-black digital camo pattern throughout the Helmet.It’s hard to see in the picture, but it looks really good.Size wise, I bought a Medium. Perfect fit. In a fitted baseball cap I run a 7 and 1/4 size. If your head is much bigger than this, i would go with a large. The adjustable ratcheting system is really nice to get that perfect fit. The MIPS is not a distraction to the fit or size.The helmet comes with a ventilated bag that has shoulder cinch straps. Really nice if you’re riding and strop somewhere… no need to leave it unattended on your bike or carry it by hand. Just put it in the bag and throw it on your back like a backpack.Excellent product.

Most comfortable helmet for my egg head.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:this is my third Forefront2 because it fits my head, so it’s comfortable, is light weight, so it’s comfortable, and when I’ve wrecked, it’s protected my head. I need to stop wrecking…Fit:It uses a ratchet system like most others, but this one is comfortable.Safety:I’m still alive with most of my marbles intact…Lightweight:It’s lightweight and super breathable.

Quality control issues
The bad. Iâm surprised that a helmet in this price point has problems that I had to fix. The entire liner was shifted to one side because of the stickers at the rear of the helmet overlapping the plastic liner that is attached to the shell. No extra pads included. You may have to correct or exchange helmets.The good. Perfect fit out of the box with a turn of the adjustment knob in the outer rear. The chin strap actually fit perfect without any adjustment. Comfort is good.Conclusion. This helmet should provide more protection than my 8-10 year old, very comfortable Bontrager.The Smith Forefront 2 is noticeably lighter and promises greater protection and ventilation. Good fit, but extra pads are $8 .

Nice helmet, the L juuust fits at a 25.25″ head, would not fit much larger.
Very nice helmet, well constructed. The L juuust fits with a 25.25 head, bit high but there are so few helmets that fit perfectly with my Sputnik head. I only need a few clicks on the suspension of it. If your head measures larger, it likely won’t fit.My road helmet I’ve had forever because it was hard to find one that fit right and I wanted more back of head coverage for moderate trails. For crazier things I just wear my MX helmet but it’s obviously not as well vented for slower speeds.

Comfortable, and easy to use.
Very happy with the fit, weight, looks and comfort of this helmet even in hot weather. The strap works well and being able to adjust the visor is a big plus.

Coming from the Smith Session, I wasnât expecting much more but itâs a better fit for my head shape which was a nice surprise as some reviews mention itâs tight across the temples. I donât think itâs as cool due to the Koroyd placement but for UK typical weather itâs all good! The extra depth at the back is confidence inspiring.
