Great router
Took a chance and bought this router from Amazon renewed to save more than a few dollars. Well worth the price and my unit was basically brand new. Iâm very detail oriented and I inspected the router upon arrival very thoroughly and found no signs of use. This is a wifi router though so itâs not like itâs going to be moving at all once setup. That being said, this router had more than double the coverage of my old one and wasnât difficult to setup. Tri bands really helped separate my devices to avoid slowing down the bandwidth.

Excellent performance
Got this to replace an old Netgear DGND3700V2 which couldn’t cope with 2 WAPs and 4 switches on the network, often requiring several restarts a day.The GX90 hasn’t missed a beat. Wifi and wired network speed has improved markedly and it’s rock solid. The user interface is great and very easy to configure.Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic router with a fantastic interface, worth the money? Eh.
This router is fantastic in most ways. I will say I can get a 4/5 signal about a block away, but my pc on the other side of my small house gets 4 out of 5 bars. Overall it is fantastic though. The interface is amazing and the best feature is being able to prioritize bandwidth for gaming devices. For example, I was getting a decent amount of lag streaming from my pc to my phone on steam. Then i prioritized my pc on my 1gb fiber network and turned on gaming boost and the lag is all but gone. The one problem I have is that it doesnât have my phone on the list of devices to prioritize and I canât find an option to just add a device, maybe Iâm just not seeing it, but that is frustrating for sure, but also not a big deal since everything seems to be working ok. Do other, cheaper devices have these capabilities at a cheaper price? Probably but Iâm not a market expert on routers. I will say that my wifi download speeds from going from the ziply provided modem to this modem went from 250-300mbps to 850-900mbps.

Works Well After Changing Phone Settings
Update – I had to change my phone’s private DNS settings from automatic to off and remove the nameservers I had specified for DNS resolution to stop the connection problems. I don’t fault the router for this, because as local businesses around me continued upgrading their wifi, my phone had connection issues with them too until I made the change. I changed to 4 stars since I would prefer to have faster and more private DNS, but overall my experience is now good.Original review below:It keeps randomly disconnecting our devices. It’s happened multiple times in the last week, sometimes when doing something demanding like video calling, and other times when just reading a web page. It’ll say it’s connected without internet, then drop the connection entirely. However, logging in through the cloud connection and running the speed test reveals the router still has a connection to my ISP. I’ll be returning this and just shelling out the money for a new one. I learned my lesson on Amazon Renewed.

This thing is awesome. Great Throughput.
I replaced an 8 year old Tp-link with this one. Much better wifi coverage across our house and garage, and no more packet bottlenecks. 3 streaming TVs, 4 iphones, 3 ipads , 6 computers/laptops. The TVs were the most noticeable improvement.. no more buffering when watching programs on all 3 at the same time. Very happy, highly reccomend this as an upgrade.

Router
So far so good. Decent coverage less dropping through out the house. No problems as far as the refurb is concerned. Works as stated met all expectations.

Great router for the money
Very good value…excellent Wifi speed, strong signal, get routinely better than 500MBs both upload and download on a Wifi connected PC despite 26 devices connected to my LAN in total on a 1G internet connection. Good user interface, and ready to configure DynDNS and OpenVPN, no need to install the DynDNS updater on a PC, the router already has it and only needs an account with DynDNS.Also very easy to connect a TPLink repeater. In my experience, this is as good as far more expensive routers from other brands.

Went out after 4 months
Purchased this router and it worked great while it worked. Then it went out completely. Out of the 90 day return period. TP Link will not honor warranty.Do not buy refurbished!
