Useful little bugger!
There are a couple of these plug in meters, and this one, for design and function, is by far the better one. Integrates with SmartLife, a plus if you already have that. Useful statistics and full or partial resets. Worked quite a bit with technical support on some readings and design issues and they were very responsive and quick to fix! Future upgrades planned…

Major flaws.
Don’t bother. Poorly written code. The firmware was not properly debugger. Entering data into fields is a waste of time. Field entry for adding unit $ per kwatt does not work. Loose power and all accumulative data is lost. Amazon is not screening this crap like Wal-Mart. If it’s discounted it likely has a flaw inherent that doesn’t pose a safety problem but is a flaw that renders the product saleable but with limited use. Like this POC.

I hope that you have perfect eyesight
The manual uses a 3 point font, and the app has even smaller font on my phone and does not allow zooming. Some menu items have low contrast colors, e.g., white on light blue, that make them even harder to read. The app also demanded access to my location as well as the expect Bluetooth. You are also required to create an account to use just about everything. The device failed to pair automatically. The app is the main reason I am rating this unit so low.The display on the unit is bright and easy to read. I cannot verify the readings as I have no calibrated standards, but the readings are similar to the nominal values on the heater I used to test the unit. At worst, they are “close enough”. I tried the voltage/current/wattage screen as that is what I am most interested in using.All I wanted was a remote sensor to monitor my sump pump. Is it too much to ask that we not give up our entire life story to every company? And why cannot these companies and seemingly all current graphics designers take into account that not everyone has the same eyesight as a 21 YO? If you have perfect eyesight, are tech savvy, and do not mind exposing your life to yet another company, the meter seems to work well.ADDENDUM: I finally found the button and sequence to pair the meter to my tablet. The information was hidden in the overview of the buttons. I still think that institutions that essential me to load the app and pair it are inadequate.I also find the time intervals between readings recorded in the app to be too long. I am trying to capture a 15 second event, and the app seems to only record over some indeterminate longer interval.

Aulifants Electrical Monitoring Device Is A WINNER.
This unit I highly recommend for several reasons. First, it is rated for 120 Volts at 25 Amps, which is important as these devices are usually kept in place, under load, once installed.Second, once set up the interface between physical device and the app is excellent.The only issues are as follows;(1) Setup instructions for WiFi and Bluetooth need to be more specific, clear.(2) When we set the electrical rates depending on the time of day, we also need to be able to pre-set for time periods of the year.Electrical rates shift between Winter Rates (Oct – April) and Summer Rates (May – Sept).With the current setup, we have to manually change daily/hourly time rates twice a year.Doing this for multiple devices is burdensome and time consuming.Overall, this item is a winner.

Good for remote power monitoring and on-off control.
I had a different brand of plug-in watt meter previously. Then I got this one because it allows remote monitoring via internet-connected apps. The meter plugs into a wall outlet, and my monitored device is plugged into the front of the meter. Data about the voltage, current, and wattage are sent via the internet to either of two free apps: Smart Home or Tuya Smart. Both apps allow me to remotely turn the monitored device on or off. The meter worked well when I tested it on my bench polisher. I anticipate trying it on heavier loads later.There were some minor problems with this meter which caused me to subtract one star. First, the power button on mine was stuck, even while new out of the box. It feels like some glue got under the dome switch. I was able to unstick the button by wiggling it back and forth many times. Second, the bottom of the case protrudes too far down, so this meter blocks the use of the second outlet on a typical dual outlet. Third, each cellphone app starts by connecting to the closest wi-fi network. But after connecting to the meter, the app insists on switching to a 5GHz connection. If 5GHz wi-fi is not available, the Smart Home App refuses to monitor this device. That is puzzling, because the data rate from this monitor is refreshed very slowly, about once every 4 seconds.

Great control for roof heating tape
I can control on/off of the heat tape from my phone from anywhere! I see exactly how much electricity it uses & when I input the power company costs per kwh I can see just how much I am paying to keep the ice off.
