Was hesitant but happy with results
I was a bit hesitant reading other reviews saying it didnât work. I took the risk and purchased it to run tests on my Porsche Macan. It worked very well (it lists most Porsche models. If you arenât seeing more than one model, then you probably have a faulty product). I scanned my car prior to updating it just in case the update made it not work correctly. Then I updated the scanner and ran it again on my car to get more data. This helped me determine what issues i need to make an appointment for. I also was able to reset the airbag sensor light that was driving me crazy after getting my windshield replaced. Porsche would have charged $250 to reset the sensor so i thought this was a quick money saving option as well as an investment to use ongoing in the future to take care of my car. The scanner also found a couple other minor issues so now I know i need to get my car serviced soon.

Highly Recommend – Fixed my 1999 Porsche Boxster!
Great product for a fair price!I had the nagging AIRBAG light issue on my 1999 Porsche Boxster. (The AIRBAG light was due to an intermittent issue with seat belt buckle contacts and grounding). I looked into another Cable/Software solution but it was over $225. Instead I saw this tool from iCarsoft and it offered a Porsche specific version. After confirming which version I needed for my AWESOME 1999 Porche Boxster, I purchased their POR V1.0 for $113.The product arrived much earlier than estimated and went ahead and plugged it in after reading the brief instructions. It was able to read and clear my AIRBAG light with no problem. Some of the other live diagnostic features weren’t working though. (RPM, IDLE, Mass Airflow, etc.). I plugged the tool into my PC and downloaded the latest software. After 10 minutes the tool was updated and fully functional with all features.Great product. Great price. Sturdy. No Laptop necessary. It just worked simply and easily. No more dreading the Porsche Dealer and their $$$ estimates to “diagnose” my airbag light. Highly recommend.

Works as advertised
Totally happy with this Diagnostic Scanner tool. I did a ‘cheapo’ repair on my 1999 boxster horn bracket using rubber washers as shown on various youtube videos. This tool cleared the airbag light as stated on the ad. Paid half for this compared to the other popular advertised Diagnostic Scanner. Just a note, for those that plan to do any repairs that involve disconnecting the airbag, please make sure that you re-connect the cable back securely. I did this mistake and originally thought the Diagnostic Scanner wasn’t doing it’s job.

Porsche Cayman Scanner
Bought this scanner to reset my airbag disabled warning light after the car battery died. Disappointing that Porsche a) can fit a decent battery that doesn’t run flat inside a short period of time b) can’y simply make the airbag light reset after a self diagnostic check or via a switch in the dashboard menu system.This scanner worked perfectly after figuring my way thru the menu to find the Cayman and was a cheaper alternative to visiting the dealership every time the battery gets drained or disconnected. It also does the usual diagnostics these scanners normally do including Porsche specific items. Recommended

Worked great for what I needed
I own a 07 Porsche Cayman base that for no reason at all had the airbag icon light come on one day. Some dealers wanted over $150.00 to reset it. This scanner erased the error code and now no more annoying red light in my dash. Very easy to use, well built, good price and I even used it to diagnose the health of my battery. If the airbag light comes on again I will have the tool to fix it.

Don’t buy Description misleading. Only for Cayenne!!
The description says for Porsche. But once I got it went to use it, my Cayman wasn’t an option. So I selected the only option, Cayenne. Nothing in the description said it was specific to just one car. It said for Porsche.I used the only option and reset oil change indicator.Then the next oil change I did the same thing, and now I get a steering error, windshield fluid error and oil level error.I tried to update software but only choice is Cayenne.Totally misleading.
