Customers say
Customers find the shampoo and conditioner set effective at enhancing curls, with one noting it brings back curl pattern. The product receives positive feedback for its delightful smell and quality, though effectiveness and frizz control show mixed results – while some say it reduces frizz, others report it leaves hair frizzy halfway. The softness and weight aspects also receive mixed reviews, with some finding it super soft after washing while others say it weighs hair down terribly. Customers consider the product not worth the high price tag.

WINNER FOR WAVY
I have a fragrance allergy so this product is on my safe list with ACDS. Packaging was ingenious compared to other products received through the mail. The lids are taped down quite securely. I try the kit of 3 for wavy hair. I can say, no irritation to scalp, no hair loss, extreme conditioning, hair soft but to my amazement and surprise, my curl pattern was the best I’ve ever had through my natural hair experience. What really got me was I did no twist, braids as is usual for my natural hair curl prep. So the first day was flatter, 2nd day hair is getting the volume I love and third day, a little water spritz and off I go. As I watched the reviews with pictures trying to learn, I think process of product is important to mention. I do wet my hair in sections in the shower. I apply small amount to each wet section and use the curl brush most influencers recommend. I diffuse leaning my head forward and backward, on low and watched the magic happen. I know everyone’s experience is unique but I’m happy to be one that has found a WINNER in my natural hair journey. If anything changes as far as hair loss and anything else, I will definitely update. Since it’s only been 4 days.

Amazing products
I am a repeat purchaser of this line! I absolutely love these products for my 2B wavy hair. They work really well, but also have an amazing smell.

Perfect Curls with Low Effort
Love Ur Curls has transformed my hair! I am in love and obsessed with these products. I cannot believe how great they make my curls look and my hair feel. And the best part, a little bit of product goes a LONG way. I use dime to nickel size drops for my long (below shoulder length) thick curly hair. My hair has never looked or felt better. And I do very little to no styling. I already repurchased during Amazon Prime Days just to have ready when needed.

Nothing special for the price, imo.
I am Caucasian with fine 2b/2c hair that can border on 3a. I didn’t feel the shampoo and conditioner did anything notable for my hair but I liked how conditioned my hair felt, even just rinsing it out and wringing water out my hair felt plumper and smoother. I felt the leave-in curl cream made my hair heavy and did not maintain “clumps,” but I could need my split ends trimmed that badly. All in all it’s not worth the $55 for me personally.

Unremarkable 🙁
Always on a quest to find the best curly hair products this product has been getting a lot of airtime on social media (albeit mostly content sponsorships) I decided to give the product set a try. The first ânotableâ factor was the fragrance is very strong and perfumey for my liking. I do not mind products with subtle fresh and natural scents, bit this product smells more like cheap drug store perfume. It does mellow after styling and drying but still not favorable and for that reason alone I would not rate over 3 stars. The products cleaned, conditioned and styled my 3A curls adequately, but it did not better define my curls and only slightly reduced frizz. Better than no-curly products, but nothing remarkable in the curly product category. The old saying if it looks to good to be true it probably is would apply here.

Absolutely amazing
This 3 step hair system is the best and I can’t say that enough!!!! I was honestly skeptical about buying this at first because there are so many products out there that says it’s the best and will help people like me with different curl throughout my hair and nothing has helped until I got this and I wasn’t expecting it to work but OMG literally using it on day one I could feel and see how much it helps my curls! This will be the only thing I buy ever again!!! Do yourself a favor and get it your curls will love it!!!!

Wish I hadn’t bought this
I had heard great things about this product from a friend. I watched a ton of videos and read a lot of reviews before purchasing. It’s a lot more than i would usually spend, but the videos and reviews won me over and I was ready to change it up. I have thick, coarse curly/wavy hair. I was really excited to try this, and I so wanted to be transformed just like so many in the reviews! The box came quickly. Weird bottle design, but ok. I’ve used several different shampoo/conditioners over the years. This was the weirdest smelling. I wanted to gag. Very perfumey. All three products smell like fake flower perfume. Yuck. The feel when using it in the shower was horrible. Most of the products I use make it easy to slide my fingers through my hair in the shower. Not this one. My fingers got stuck in my hair when I was trying to rinse shampoo and conditioner out. When I got out of the shower, I used the final product on wet hair, still hoping for the best. I used a diffuser. At first, I thought it was maybe looking ok. Then it finished drying. It made my hair straight, somehow. More accurately, it flattened my curls in some places while being oddly kinky in others. To be clear, I used this product as I have used many other products, and this is the only one that did such weird things to my hair. It was so bad, I put my hair up because I couldn’t stand looking at it. I also had to deal with that constant smell.I will give this another try at some point, and if I like it any better, I’ll add to my review. But, for now, I’m really disappointed in my expensive purchase. Looks like it works great for a lot of people. Not me.UPDATE: I have tried this several more times, watched the videos AGAIN to ensure I was “doing it all correctly,” and it’s still making a mess of my hair. The smell is more tolerable after several uses (maybe I’m nose blind now?), but it still feels like it dries my hair while I’m still in the shower, and it straightens out quite a bit of my curl. Maybe I’m thinking of this all the wrong way. Maybe I should be using this along with a straightening iron. It does half the work for me, right out of the bottle!Definitely not for my hair.

Can’t go wrong with this for curls
I have uncontrollable hair, could never find product that can help my hair, so I tryed this shampoo set, and now would never use anything else on my hair. Makes my hair soft and manageable. Plus no more frizz. Absolutely love this product.

The shampoo is formulated and gentle enough that it can be used every day, I prefer a lathering shampoo, and it does, just be sure your hair is soaked and you lather it up a little in your hand before. The conditioner goes a long way, you don’t need as much as you think either. Intended for curly hair, the conditioner needs to coat all strands. If you find you not getting the enough coverage, try soaking hair more with water before adding more Conditioner as I found this seemed to add volume to the creamy conditioner allowing more coverage. The styling cream was also applied on wet hair then any excess water squeezed out before drying. It’s a nice cream, it’s not sticky and creates lovely curl definition. However, even if you add a little more styling product, it still doesn’t give me the volume I like. I do love that you can reactivate it the next day with a spritz of water and then dry and it still is not sticky.

My daughter really loves this product. It really defines her curls . Theory problem is it is a little pricey for how small the bottles are.

I have a slight wave to my hair. When I use this and do the entire routine I have lovely big loose curls. Even if I donât do the routine it gives me more volume. The only negatives are that when you do the routine it creates a wet look which I havenât been able to mitigate. Itâs also drying even without blow drying, I would recommend occasional use of another conditioner that works for you.

This product is perfect for curly hair.

This review will be thorough to hopefully help some people. My hair is as atypical as can be. Itâs very thin and very fine (so much so that I laugh when people whine about their thin hair) but, I have always had corkscrew curl. Iâm not putting a curl type here because so many disagree which is what â I see a lot of waves being called curl (which is often true genetically) and I see a lot of curl defined by hair type and not curl. Regardless. Iâm pretty sure I should not have the curl I do, but itâs there. Itâs so much there that I do not get recognized by new acquaintances often if they see me with straight hair then curly or vice versa. A couple times I had to go home and make my hair curly to match what was on my ID when buying liquor or picking up a parcel. My hair is also very porous. I live in hot, humid pollution, with dry, windy, yet sometimes rainy winters. I use a vitamin C filter in the shower. Our water is not that hard, but out of everywhere Iâve lived, this water results in the worst styling. Two other places have caused impossible dryness. This doesnât. When I was a kid, people sitting or standing behind me in school loved pulling the corkscrews and letting them go. I lost a significant amount of hair in 2009 and 2021 due to extreme stress. I have scalp visible most of the time unless I use elaborate, calculated trickery. So keep that in mind when reading this.My guess is I may have the most difficult curl to manage because there are no products made for my hair. Volumizing shampoo and conditioners are impossible, because while they add volume, they also create incredible tangles. Imagine crumpling a spiderweb and trying to make it nice and neat again to get a comb though. I was shocked to learn people can just do their hair without conditioner. I normally go through conditioner at a much faster rate than shampoo, so the best I can hope for is to have 1/3 of a bottle left in my shampoo when I opened a new conditioner. Usually itâs more. I comb through in the shower after pulling some through with my fingers and rinsing it. Then I leave it on, thereby conditioning twice even with the same product. Products for dry, curly hair weigh my hair down like crazy. I also have an oily scalp. Iâve never been able to call anything âwash dayâ because most of the time between sports and life, every day, sometimes twice a day has been wash day. The most I can do is every other day. I had one stylist in my life who cut my curl amazingly. He still got frustrated trying to style it, but at least I knew I could work with it and get great results. When I look back, he had curly hair that wasnât overly thick. In April, I decided to get 8-9â cut off because it was breaking. Iâd quit doing the curl thing quite some time ago because the hairspray required to keep the volume and placement necessary to look like I had hair was really gross to me. And hairspray was all that had ever worked for that.Regardless, I was using far too much heat and I wanted to try to be more natural. I decided to try my natural curl again. I selected this because it is Canadian and minority and women-owned, but also because of the rave reviews I saw. I came across one person who had hair similar to mine, but it was as a result of aging and hormones. She found the wavy better for her curl than the curly because it didnât weigh it down as much. I have not yet tried this.I was confused by people who had complained about packaging because I didnât understand the not being able to hold the bottle in one hand thing. I understand now. The bottles of shampoo and conditioner are quite hard plastic. There is only a cup of product in each bottle for the price. Once the product goes down, even though gravity should take care of keeping it at the opening (and Iâve used many shampoos and conditioners that work this way), this packaging it does not allow for that. So if you have weak or injured hands, or pain, I can see how getting the last half of the product out of the bottle could be a problem, especially if you canât snap your wrist. When my shampoo was about half-finished, the lid somehow broke off. I can still stand it normally but have to be extremely careful picking it up and using it if I donât want shampoo everywhere. With respect to mentions of the curl crème lid not staying on, again, I thought it was likely just a weird random thing, but I learned that once a certain amount had been used, the bottle design was ineffective without product keeping it in shape. The curl cream cap no longer stays on.The gel I had to give to my niece who has thick, fairly course hair. When I used it, because of how fine my hair is, scrunching it in (no matter how wet my hair was) resulted in fine pieces sticking to my hands when I pulled them away from my hair. A definite invitation to a frizzy cast.Since I began wearing my hair curly a lifetime ago, I already knew water was the key, and I also used a wide-tooth comb to brush product through and separate the curl (creating clumps before it had a name, I guess). Iâm speculating that the âcurly girl methodâ is for people who didnât know it already and is what is causing the craze now. People are finding their curl and pattern. (I should add Iâve always had to diffuse and style upside down to attain any sort of volume and best retain the tightest corkscrews my hair can pull off.) My sister, for example, had no idea what kind of curl she could pull from her hair naturally until she was in her late teens. So I think the method right now is whatâs making the difference for so many people, not the products. This is because the drugstore brands I used throughout my teens and early 20s worked way better than this. Random products selected since then from basic to expensive have given inconsistent results, but many have matched or have been better than this. Some leave-in conditioners have been better than the styling products.I had high hopes for this. Initially I was diffusing my hair beginning with it wetter than ever before. I have since learned thatâs not entirely necessary. Iâve mostly gone back to doing what I did before, which is scrunching water into my hair over a sink with my hair flipped forward as I dry/style. I collect warm water in my hands and apply it to areas that arenât as coily, or are drying too fast. The water bottles, while great, donât work for me. The spray just breaks the curl by forcing fine pieces away. I did buy a curl brush, though, and use it every time. I donât have too many clumps to be made with what hair I have. I have gone back to the trick I learned ages ago, and apply some hairspray before it is completely dry.Initially, I did seem to get something from these products. It didnât take long for me to start getting frustrated. Sometimes my hair was limp. Other times one side had corkscrews and the other side had S-âcurlsâ. That switched sometimes. Eventually, I compared it to pre-cut curly days pictures and it was clear random curl products with my normal shampoo worked better. No matter what, I was using a lot of hairspray which I didnât want. The feel is gross, but Iâve yet to find one where the smell doesnât linger. And in humidity forget it. Limp, sticky hair, and a scent that followed me like a cloud. My stylists said the shampoo and conditioner were really building up on my hair, and too add a clarifying shampoo to my routine. Thatâs helped a bit. So initially, I was happy with the way the shampoo, conditioner and curl cream worked. The gel never worked regardless of amount and whether my hair was very wet or less so. I used twice the amount of shampoo as I did conditioner. I thought Iâd rinsed well after shampooing but the conditioner seemed to pull more bubbles out. So I applied it and detangled as much as possible, then I reapplied. I have sensitive skin and I found I really needed to cleanse it again after rising the products off my hair. It was irritating, but it also seemed to create a film on my skin.I gave this three stars so it didnât look critical. I see that some have had great results. I cannot say anything about this seemed even a bit revolutionary. I can say that itâs insane with those of us punished or gifted (whichever lens you see it through) with curl should be forced to pay this much for one cup of product in the hope that our hair will look good, or normal, or acceptable â whatever people think. Iâve had better results with other products. I truly believe that those who are learning to style their curl, that finding out how important water and defined/clumped curls to begin drying or styling with are key. Some products are better than others once you know how to manage your curl and bring out the best of it. For me, this line doesnât even break the top 20.
