Better than you think
I bought this because I really needed an upgrade from what I had. I didn’t need 32gb of ram and wanted a newer model, so I settled for this one. It will get done ANY basic task you need. Browsing the web (with requires butt loads of memory) is simple and easy, you can have 20 tabs opens and still not reach 50% memory usage. I waited a while to write mt review because I wanted to make sure I made a good purchase, which I did. Not only does this thing come loaded with 16gb of memory, you have 2 additional slots you can use. The hard drive is AMAZING! Plenty of storage and best part is its a solid state drive which makes no noise. The only noise you’ll hear are from the fans and graphics card while playing a game. While playing video games on this thing is a dream, if you wanted you could run most games on highest quality. Now the battery is the only thing I have a issue with. It will only last you about 3-4 hours tops if your not playing games. You start to play a game and it cuts that time in half. I understand in order to keep the slimness of the device the battery can only be so big. Overall well worth my purchase, and I hope this review helps

It’s a great gaming laptop!
It’s great.. it’s very fast, you can play high quality games without lag.It gets hot only when you play and that’s completely normal in all laptops and it does not overheat. It’s just normal hot. The cooling system is very good.The battery drains very fast if you do things that require more power… like gaming. But in normal uses, it’s ok, about 4 hours of use..But that’s not really a problem since you can simply use it while connected to the charger.Other then that.. I’m happy with the laptop it’s definitely great.

Great Specs, Crappy Screen Design
I love this computer for the price, itâs powerful and works really well for playing most games with the settings relatively cranked. The exhaust from the fans can get really hot on your lap. The thing that lost this model a star for me is the screen is really thin but not that sturdy. Mine has cracked at the top left corner and the lcd screen is screwed. If your buying this unit and you plan to use it away from the desk buy the warranty.

Amazing
Amazing looking laptop, screen looks great rgb keyboard looks good. Runs games like Ark survival evolved and cod smoothly with steady FPS. Battery life is weak had it unplugged for 2 1/2 hours just surfing web and playing low req games. Only issue I had is trying to set up RGB keyboard lights. Downloaded amory core to set up lights keeps saying “no available devices” I’ve tried to troubleshoot on forums and just cant get it to work. But I’ve downloaded “aura rog core” witch customized the keyboard but not the lights on the bottom of the laptop.

Never work – NEVER will buy to this seller or this brand
This is a beautiful machine with a wonderful specs and price… but didn’t work… when I turn on go to BIOS Menu… and nothing else. Maybe a problem with HD… or whatever. I try to fix with the support of Asus… bad idea… contact to the seller… bad idea. Nothing more to do… I will return.UPDATE Jan-2020The computer was the Christmas present for my daughter. For that reason I did not know that I was failing until after Christmas. When I tried to make the return I couldn’t do it anymore. Because the technical support of Nexipc and Asus is very little useful I decided to review the problem myself and found that it was the damaged hard drive. I decided to change it and when I opened the machine I found a SATA disk, according to the decal of doubtful origin, of an unknown brand and that is contrary to the specifications of the purchase that indicate that it would have a PCIe Nvme SSD. What annoyance this has caused me! I got scammed! The worst purchase on Amazon you have made. Place a Samsung Evo SSD that has worked perfectly. I did a new installation of Windows 10 64 bit, but I had 3 days of stumbling in trying to install the Asus software. Even installing the MyAsus application, I have had problems when updating. It stays in the process without advancing. What a disappointment this purchase has been.

LOVED;- BEAUTIFUL RGB lights, I absolutely love having them- Very slick appearance- Love the triple fan capabilities (silent, performance, turbo) as well as the customization that comes with it!- THE GRAPHICS are insane compared to my macbook and including my current PC (I switched from PC to laptop for portability reasons)- Everything runs pretty smoothly, able to run many things open at once- Does not come preinstalled with a lot additional software- The battery pack is very small, very portable and not bulky- Extremely portable, quite light and thin for a gaming laptop actually!DID NOT LOVE;- Unfortunately I could not customize as much as I wanted with the RGB (I chose rainbow for the bottom, whereas the keyboard can only stay one colour, might just be me)- The fans do get loud quiet fast once I started gaming (I play Overwatch and Apex Legends) within the first hour of gaming (I put the fans on performance)- The price is not entirely the best on the market for laptops like this as I feel like there could many things I could’ve gotten better with $1688- The battery life drains fast, after a hour or two of gaming, the laptop is almost completely drained (without plugging it in while gaming), but this obviously changes once you plug in the laptopOVERALL;- For my first gaming laptop ever, I think this is a great buy! I love how smooth the graphics and gameplay are, as well as how simple and sleek the designs are of this laptop. Although the price is quite hefty, definitely would recommend if you want something that performs very well for all your needs (quality video, gaming, smooth graphics, can handle lots of things at once)!

I bought this machine to serve as my primary unit (software development) and so far it’s been fantastic. I chose on purpose a laptop without a built-in camera, so if it’s important to you, may be not the best choice. The performace is very high (I rarely hit even 50% CPU) and the RAM is plenty for the job. The keyboard feels very springy with a nice feedback which speeds up typing somewhat. It is however a heavy machine so be careful if you need to haul it around. The battery can last up to 4 hr with “optimal” settings. Overall completely satisfied with it.
