New life for my old technology
I have been traveling with my 2017 iPad Pro and Apple Smart Keyboard instead of my laptop, but the iPad and keyboard recently “unfriended” one another. I donât know which is at fault, but the obvious and least expensive solution was a Bluetooth keyboard. This new folding keyboard was easy to set up, and works perfectly with my iPad as well as my phone. So maybe I could even leave the iPad at home. A function key combination switches it between paired devices, which is cool. The new keyboard is small and light, but not flimsy. The keys are protected by folding, just right for travel. It is pleasant to type on. I have big hands and they do not feel any more cramped than on the Apple keyboard. The two things I didnât immediately like were that if I type with it on my lap it wants to fold, (so I reposition it over one leg) and if my hands are sloppy the bottom hinge rubs my right thumb (so I correct my hand posture to lift my wrists, as I was originally taught). The little fold-flat stand that comes with the keyboard is angle-adjustable, supports the ipad with its case, and the design is ingenious. So I’m very happy with this purchase, which is saving me a lot of money by prolonging the life of my iPad.

Great key travel and small size
I bought this to pair with my recent purchase of a Lenovo Legion Tab 3 Android Tablet.I liked the idea of this version over the full size XK01, since this is a small tablet. Bluetooth pairing was fast and painless. I haven’t tested the 5 month battery life claim yet, but so far, no problems. The really good things:~ Key travel is great despite being so thin.~ The fold is super smooth, never gets stuck.~ It does fit in my pocket, but I am neither skinny nor are my pants.~ Solid build quality. The bad (well not bad so as challenging):~ The placement of the space bar…I get it, though, it has to fold in the middle so the space is slightly offset. I thought this would throw off my writing, and it did for about a day. However, I quickly developed the muscle memory and now I have no missed clicks. Pretty easy to get used to.Would I like keys that are like 10% larger, YES! I really don’t travel with this in my pocket, so a slightly larger size would not matter to me.I am super impressed with this product and it is my first Protoarc product. I was doubtful about their PC mice and trackballs, but based on this I would be willing to try one of their mice.

A great product for writers on the go!
This is a fantastic product that feels really comfortable to type with. The size is spot on for me. It works perfectly with my phone and tablet, too.My only complaint, which is pretty minor but worth noting, is that there’s no way to lock it into the open position (at least not that I noticed). Sometimes I want to type with something on my lap, and because if doesn’t lock, you can’t really do that. Fortunately, I have a lap table thing, but I don’t always have that available. That’s it, though. Like I said, pretty minor. This is a great product and a tremendous value, and definitely worth checking out of you’re in the market for a highly functional, portable keyboard.

Excellent Product, Performs as Advertised
I needed a good portable keyboard for travel. After looking at various models of foldable keyboards, and based on the reviews, I chose this one. Iâm glad I did. The keyboard pairs w/ three separate devices, so I have it paired w/ my iPhone, my iPad and my wifeâs iPad. This ability to pair w/ multiple devices offers a wonderful degree of flexibility. One keyboard in the luggage and my wife and I are set. The keyboard appears to be very well made. It folds flat and very compactly. It is light, but the materials appear to be of good quality. Iâm expecting good durability. Some reviewers complain that this keyboard is not really suitable for lap use. I disagree. Iâm typing this review w/ the keyboard on my lap w/o difficulty. It has sufficient ârigidityâ when open so that it doesnât close up by itself, or even under moderate typing pressure. It would be nice if it had a mechanism that âlockedâ it open; but honesty, itâs fine as is. The key âtravelâ is very good and provides an excellent typing experience. My only complaint is that I wish it had illuminated keys. That feature would be very helpful, but even w/o that, this product deserves itâs 5 star rating.

Great Keyboard, but Not Intuitive
3.5 â – It’s solid! If a little finicky. This is a solid portable keyboard that I do enjoy! It’s compact, connects quickly and easily and feels great to use! Great battery life, responds quickly and not a bad price for a FOLDABLE keyboard at that! However, the thing that kills me, and I still struggle with may be minut to others is the escape key. By default it just types which is fine, but ‘fn + esc’ will take you out of whatever app you are using as it’s the home key, rather then esc like I anticipated. To esc you need to ‘fn + shift + esc’ which while not difficult did take some getting use to. Slows down work flow sometimes and I wish I could reprogram it better suit my needs.Solid keyboard! I enjoy using it despite my grievance. Would recommend! Just takes a little getting used to.

Fantastic! Lightweight and perfect for backpacking / traveling.
I recently went on a backpacking adventure (Camino de Santiago). As unplugged as that sounds, I couldn’t be fully disconnected due to work. I didn’t want to take my laptop due to weight, and then I discovered this wonderful lightweight keyboard and stand. Perfect for a Phone (or tablet). In my case, it was a phone. This let me pack light and small as I needed, but I had an almost full sized keyboard when working in the evenings.I was also able to discover the joy of a real keyboard on an iPhone. Cut and paste, end, arrow keys, escape. Just perfect. This is one of the greatest accessories that I’ve purchased. It’s now a permanent part of my travel bag. Other bonuses is that it can pair with three devices which also let me share it with ease. What else can I say? Lightweight, folds small, well built, good keyboard feel. It’s one of those products you just smile when you use it. Highly recommended.

Really high quality keyboard, it comes with a stand for the smartphone and a standard USB type C charging cable, the only issue that it does not have Arabic characters on it, but that is not a big of a deal

Good quality and instructions. Now linked to iPhone, iPad mini and iPad Air. Will use on travels and its ideal. I had bought a cheaper unit about a year ago and never satisfied with cheap. This one is a good investment.

I was looking for a compact keyboard to pair with a small tablet that I could travel with. This has to be the coolest keyboard I have ever seen. It folds into the size of two wallets, or not much bigger than my cell phone. The embedded protective case is a great touch. It paired nearly instantly with my cheap Android tablet and the typing experience is more than I could have hoped for. There is some occasional minor lag which I attribute to the low end tablet more than the keyboard, and no keystrokes were missed. I found I could type almost as fast as I can on my PC full size keyboard.Bonus points for supporting up to three devices that you can easily alternate between. I can potentially pair it with my cell phone too then if I wanted to. Even more bonus points for the basic but effective compact folding stand that is included. I hadn’t even considered this and was delighted when I discovered it in the box. Even the packaging was compact and well engineered. The keyboard is thin and light, yet feels sturdy and is a pleasure to type on. I am excited for my travels and can’t wait to use it now. I am sure I can find other great use cases for it too.I had briefly considered purchasing a cheap Chromebook instead of this combo, but I am so glad I didn’t. This combo of tablet and separate keyboard gives me the best of both worlds as well as shaving off precious weight during my trip.

I bought this folding keyboard mainly for its compact and lightweight format (I use it with iPad). It fits easily in a bag, unfolds within seconds, and provides a typing surface that feels very close to my 12â MacBook (2016) or the Magic Keyboard for iPad. The keys are comfortable and pleasant to use.Once unfolded, it feels like a full-size keyboard, so I donât get the sense of being cramped. Even the slightly off-center space bar doesnât bother me at all. The hinge falls under the right thumb, but thatâs not an issue for me since I know what I bought and I accept the small compromises that come with a folding design. The build is entirely plastic, so of course it doesnât have the premium aluminum finish Apple would offer, yet for the price I am genuinely impressed by the engineering behind it.Battery life has been perfectly fine so far. I sometimes type with the keyboard on my lap, for example on a plane, and while it can feel a bit less stable, it remains functional. The trick I found to prevent it from bending in the middle while typing is simply to support it with my thumbs underneath. Itâs easy enough to do and doesnât affect usability.I also customized it to fit my needs: I use a Canadian French layout, so I added stickers for certain keys, and I covered the brand name printed across the space bar since I didnât like it showing. These small adjustments make the keyboard feel more personal.Overall, this is an excellent compromise between portability, comfort, and price. I was pleasantly surprised by its quality and practicality. Itâs not as solid as an Apple keyboard, but for what it is, it works very well and I can carry it anywhere without hassle. With the added reassurance of a two-year warranty, I feel confident in my purchase. For now, I am very satisfied, and itâs proving to be a great little tool.

This thing feels like quality. The folding mechanism is very well designed and has a satisfying feel to it. The keys are a bit small for my full size hands but it’s a reasonable price to pay for portability. The only flaw in the design is that there is a lower hinge that sticks out where my right thumb wants to rest on the space bar that’s a bit annoying. The 3-device bluetooth works well and the device fits easily in my little backpack, but can also fit in a front pocket when I need to take it with me. Highly recommend.
