Great Headset for Kids — My Son Loves It!
I bought this BENGOO G9000 gaming headset for my 11-year-old son to use with his Nintendo Switch, and it’s been a fantastic purchase. He was thrilled with how it looks — the LED lights and overall design make it feel really “cool” and high-tech, which was a big deal for him.From a parent’s perspective, I’m impressed with the sound quality and how well the noise-canceling mic works. He uses it for both gaming and chatting with his friends, and I can actually hear a difference — less background noise, and his friends can hear him clearly without yelling.The earmuffs are super soft and comfortable, which is perfect for longer play sessions (and trust me, there are plenty!). Plus, the headset is adjustable, so it fits his head now but will still be useful as he grows.He mainly uses it with the Switch, but we’ve also tested it on his iPad and my laptop — all worked great. For the price, this headset feels surprisingly durable and offers features you’d expect in much more expensive options.Highly recommend for any parent looking for an affordable, quality headset for their kid’s gaming setup!

UPDATE AFTER REFUND: After posting my below honest review, the company kindly worked with me, wanting to resolve the issue. I explained that I was not sure how that could be done as I believe the microphone is too insensitive and, being on an inflexible and short arm, unable to get any closer to the user’s mouth. They responded they would take this into account in future product design and generously refunded me. I will give them 5 stars for what turned out to be a free pair of headphones. After months of having people tell me I was too quiet, please do know, though, that this is best used as headphones and not as a headset.I suppose you get what you pay for, but I do not think other reviews did justice to just how bad the microphone is on this headset. Every person I have ever spoken with using this microphone says I sound quiet, and they say I still sound quiet if they turn my volume up to 200%. A headset gives sound output and should give quality sound input – this only does half of that; hence, 2.5 stars maximum. It definitely provides sound output at good quality, with relative comfort for me, and little hassle in setup or use – deserving of an 80%+ of that 2.5 star potential. I would NOT buy it again – spend $20 more to get something decent from Best Buy.

Auf der Suche nach einem neuen Gaming-Kopfhörer habe ich mich nach Durchsuchen des riesigen Angebotes für dieses Modell entschieden und bin mit dem Kauf sehr zufrieden.Ich habe den Kopfhörer bisher an der PS4, am PC und testweise zum Musikhören am Handy getestet.Die Soundqualität ist gut, keine Verzögerungen oder Abbrüche und die Sprachausgabe funktioniert auch reibungslos.Der Kopfhörer sitzt bequem und ist durch den verstellbaren Bügel auch für große Köpfe geeignet. Durch das Polster oben am Bügel drückt der Kopfhörer auch nicht auf dem Kopf.Das Kabel ist lang genug und hat eine praktische Bedienung für Lautstärke und Stummschaltung.Dazu sieht das Headset mit der Farbcombo schwarz, blau, silber sehr schick aus, insbesondere wenn man es per USB mit der Hardware connected.Alles in allem ein top Kopfhörer für diesen günstigen Preis. Von mir volle 5 Sterne.

Sound QualityThe sound quality of the headphone is good for the money, I would say for the price, I’ve rated it 5*. The bass is good and rich, I found them superior to in-ear headphones, which were used before these. Sound is clear, no hiss or distortion experienced.MicrophoneWhile not able to easily experience my voice at the other end of a chat, I have had no complaints about distorted sound, I can be heard well and clearly enough to chat and collaborate during gaming sessions. Having an adjustable arm for the microphone is handy to keep it out of the way while not in use.Noise cancellingWhen not active noise cancelling, they cover the ear nicely which blocks out a good deal of background noise.ComfortThe headphones adjust to a range of sizes, the padding on the over ear speakers is comfortable and can be worn for several hours while gaming, the over ear design helps to block noise helping to immerse yourself in the game.ConnectionsThere are two connections, the 3.5mm jack plug and the USB plug, the USB plug is only there to power the lights in the headphones, however the 3.5mm jack plug is essential for compatibility across my laptop and Nintendo switch. It would be nice if the sound carried over both the USB & the 3.5mm jack plug, but this is a minor point.OverallVery happy with these headphones, for the money the sound quality is very good, it is ideally setup for gaming. The built-in mic does the job well and allows me to communicate with our players well. The lights are a bonus, but don’t really affect the performance of the headphones, does look good in the dark though. I would say they don’t quite have the depth and range for purely listening to music, for which I have separate headphones. But for action gaming they are ideal.
