1 Unable to charge?
a. A great value for the money!
Iâm an experienced and relatively proficient personal computer user who primarily uses Apple devices. However, I recently needed to use software that doesnât run ânativeâ on Mac and so decided to buy a relatively powerful Windows machine.After researching my options, I settled on a Coolby RiaBook 15.6inch Windows 11 laptop, with 12GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. After purchasing this machine, setting it up, and performing some initial geographic data analyses using the software I bought it for I am well satisfied. Iâm impressed with the Coolbyâs performance and bang for the buck.Unboxing and startup were simple. The fingerprint reader was easily configured and works well. There was a bare minimum of bloatware, though I did fall for an invitation to install âSoftware Storeâ that introduced an annoying advert for McAfee Antivirus. (A pox upon McAfee!)The physical build of the machine seems fine; it feels solid but doesnât weigh too much. The display quality is good, and the selection of I/O ports includes 3 USB-A ports (2×3.0, 1×2.0) and 2 USB-C ports. Built-in HDMI allows the connection of an external motor without need for a dongle. I was able to connect all the peripherals I needed without difficulty. It ran the demanding software that I purchased it for smoothly and processing was fast. Bluetooth and WiFi performance are excellent. Twelve gigabytes of RAM are sufficient for my needs, but because I will be using it in remote locations without cell service I would have purchased a larger SSD if that were an option. I would also like to have access to a more detailed manual and specification sheet, but these will not be needed by most users.Iâve had this machine for over a week, and Iâve certainly put it through its paces. Based upon this I can give the Coolby a 5-star review! Iâve been using personal computers since the Apple II days, and getting this much processing power for so little money is remarkable!

Great Computer for the Price
This laptop computer is sleek, stylish and easy to setup. There are many computers that have much more horsepower, but by using Microsoft One Drive there is ample room to store significant files and pictures for many years. Just what I need for surfing, working spreadsheets and Word.

Great Computer for a great price!
Really nice computer. Exactly what I needed it for, with a great price!! I mainly use it for crafting. I got tired of sitting at my PC. The speed is good enough for me, itâs actually quite fast. Screen resolution is great, light weight and all around great laptop! I do like the Touch ID to unlock the laptop. Makes it easier sometimes. I did have a problem with the first computer they sent. It wouldnât hold a charge and the charger broke within a few days. Customer service was fantastic! They were understanding and quick with a replacement. Would recommend!

The laptop arrived safe and itâs great quality. It was easy to set up for as far as Iâve gotten. Iâm gonna give it time to play around with it before I do a final review, but all in all the purchase process receiving it and actually seeing the product.

My previous laptop crashed and needed to replace it quickly. I am totally satisfied with this purchase. The laptop was very easy to set up and loaded up my programs and settings very quickly.The screen is crystal clear with good graphics and ample storage for all my necessary programs. It has the outputs I wanted to connect my devices and display seamlessly on my external screen.The internal speakers and sound are all but weak and tinny, but since I use external speakers or Bluetooth ear buds, it doesn’t matter to me. I am so happy with it’s performance.

Works Really Well
This laptop came with Windows 11 preloaded. It went into setup mode and out without problems.I bought this to replace a desktop computer that died, looking for something inexpensive that I could at least use to organize my response to this situation.At this point, it is performing better than expected, in part perhaps because it has 12GB of RAM instead of just 8 (as a prior laptop had). Indeed, I am strongly considering using it as the replacement for my desktop. So far, it is certainly responsive enough!

Screen hinge failure. UPDATE
This worked great for our HS student. However, the screen hinge on one side broke and the hinge has allowed the screen to separate in the lower left corner. The student was really upset as she has extra heavy duty padded bags (cases) and is very careful due to past terribly designed laptops. The hinges are made of very cheap, thin plastic. Really poor design.I would never recommend a laptop for daily use with two hinges at the corners of the screen. This is a point of failure for many laptops. If you want the thing to be reliable and not break, get on that has a long hing across the bottom of the screen so that the corners are not stressed.This unit only lasted about 8 months. My 15 year old L—-O that has a single hinge across the bottom is still strong and dependable.After posting my original review, I received a message offering a full refund. I entered full refund as requested and have heard absolutely nothing back. The message was difficult to track and I do not believe the vendor intends to do anything except to tout that they offered a full refund. I did not expect much when I posted the original review but the offer with no follow-up may be even more of a problem with this vendor. Lip service is worse than no service. Reducing my original rating to 1 star due to this. Would give 0, if available.
