Six years ago, Giro set a new standard in quality, look, and feel in a recreational helmet with the original Register. The Register II takes this to the next level by bringing styling and venting of Giro’s highest-end road helmets into this lightweight in-mold helmet. With a removable visor, an adjustable fit system, and the Mips® Evolve Core rotational energy management system, the Register II Mips is a best-in-class recreation helmet.
HARDSHELL WITH IN-MOLD HARDBODY LOWER WRAP — The two-piece shell combines a tough outer hard shell with a polycarbonate lower shell permanently fused to the liner for durability without excess weight.
INTEGRATED MIPS BRAIN PROTECTION SYSTEM — All Giro helmets are designed to reduce as much energy as possible while meeting and exceeding stringent safety standards. The goal of Giro’s Integrated Mips-equipped helmets is to reduce rotational forces. Giro believes that helmets equipped with this technology can reduce the amount of rotational force that may be transferred to rider’s brain in certain impacts.
UNIVERSAL FIT SIZING — Our Universal Fit helmets are sculpted to look good and fit great for almost anyone on the first try. By developing proprietary shell sizes based on specific customer groups, and combining them with an easily-adjustable fit system, it’s easy for you get the right fit, straight out of the box, without the hassle or expense of trying multiple sizes.
Customers say
Customers find the bike helmet comfortable, noting it doesn’t feel like a bucket on their head, and appreciate its adjustable fit that accommodates various head shapes. The helmet receives positive feedback for its safety features, particularly the MIPS system, and customers like its white color that stands out in traffic. They find it lightweight and consider it worth the price. The adjustment ability receives mixed reviews – while the rear adjustment dial offers precise control, some customers note that the straps lack lateral adjustment.

Very comfortable! Better than higher priced helmets!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I tried four different helmets; Smith, Giro, Trek and Bontrager brands. All of them cost more than $100. None were more comfortable than this Giro Register MIPS and this was the cheapest one! It also looked the best on me; not dorky. It felt the lightest on my head and it has just the right amount of vent holes. It has good head coverage and the visor is not intrusive. I wore it with and without my skull cap and both comfortable. Wore it for biking in hot humid conditions along with my sweat wicking skull cap and it felt great! I barely felt I had a helmet on. The straps are comfortable and easy to adjust. Changing the size is easy by turning the knob at back of helmet. This helmet will not fit an extra large head though unfortunately as I had hubby try it on at its largest setting and it was too small. This helmet is a great deal for the quality and the Giro brand.Â

Wear your helmet!
Fits well, 29 year old female. The adjustable knob is great and I donât feel like an absolute dork wearing it. Iâve seen too many head injuries in patients who donât wear helmets. Wear a helmet!!
