Customers say
Customers appreciate the camera handle’s solid metal construction and functionality, with one mentioning it works on both their cameras. Great hand grip
The grip is nice works on both my cameras and even let my friend use it on his. It works on a lot of cameras. It was great quality and very durable. Has tons of mounting options for things like a monitor a mic and a bunch of other stuff. Overall great product definitely worth it.

High Value Versatile Handle – May not work for heavy set ups!
I have a Beastcage rig case frome Beastgrip for an iPhone Pro. It’s basically a case with a bunch of mount holes for accessories but nothing really to hold on to. I had two vertical handles that can be mounted to the bottom but I wanted an alternative to hold the unit from above when shooting video lower to the ground.I saw this SmallRIG top handle grip for about half of the price of the Beastgrip “action handle”.This is exactly what I needed. The really convenient part is that it mounts to a cold shoe / hot shoe mount. There is a giant threaded thumb screw that allows you to slide this into the shoe mount and then tighten it down. This makes this completely universal and it would work with my Mirrorless camera too.The handle itself feels indestructible. It is made of solid metal and could hold a lot of weight. However, the only thing that you may want to consider is how much total weight you are carrying around since the shoe on the top of your camera could be damaged and may safely support less weight than if you had your camera in a self contained rig. If you are carrying a really heavy set up around by this handle all the tension and weight is on the shoe mount. This is perfect for the phone photography/videography but if you are using a mirrorless with a large full frame lens I would not trust the shoe mount to carry all that weight. This is lightweight, so much better value for the money, and made of sturdy metal. This is exactly what I needed for my use case.

You can get a handle on this!
This exactly what I needed. I use this with my DJI Action 4, in a small rig case, and it fits the shoe Mount, liiiike a glove. It is solid, and has enough slots for accessories, I am sure Iâll be using this handle for the rest of my years, no matter the camera. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. As with all of Smallrigâs catalog. They seem to make things I actually want to use.Â

Fits top shoe Sony FX 30
I have been using the SmallRig Lightweight Cold Shoe Top Handle with my Sony FX30 camera for the past 6 months, and I am satisfied with its performance. The handle is very lightweight and easy to attach to the camera, making it ideal for shooting on the go.The grip is also very comfortable, and it provides a secure hold on the camera even during extended shooting sessions. I also love the cold shoe mount on the top of the handle, which allows me to easily attach accessories such as a microphone or a light. The build quality of the handle is excellent, and it has held up very well after 3 months of use. It has endured some bumps and bruises during shoots, but it still looks and functions like new.

Smallrig has a new customer!
Iâve had lots of other people in my industry, recommend this handle, but I never saw a real need for it. Given the cost and what I do with my camera, it just didnât make sense. But then, I decided to give it a try and Iâm very impressed with the quality. Itâs clear that SmallRig listens to its users.Metal construction with a rubber grip just makes this thing âfeelâ good when handling your (likely) expensive gear. Stability is an understatement.I plan to mount a video monitor and shotgun mic to it. Seems like the perfect size for it.We lightweight construction coupled with

Exactly what you’d expect from SmallRig
Professional photographer from Seattle shooting both videos and photos with several Nikon cameras. I got this to hold/mount my Viltrox 550 Pro atop my Nikon Z9. Works as advertised with several points to affix your other gear. Great as a handle too, of course. Solid gear I use frequently and simply. Get it.

Amazing build quality and there are no complaints. Holds everything without moving perfectly.

This thing feels amazing, I know some prefer wood but I don’t see why with a handle of this quality. It’s extremely versatile and fully packed with threads left and right to let your “rig creativity” juices flow. I can understand how some bigger TV broadcast equipment need heavy-duty stuff, but for the DSLR and Mirrorless based creatives, this thing will give you flexibility and stability you need and that was precisely what I was after. Once again, Smallrig does phenomenal products!

I bought this to allow flexibility of placement of attachments to DLSR used for astrophotography on light weight portable EQ mount. It’s mainly designed as a robust handle so you can use your DLSR in video mode but has Swiss cheese ð§ holes and its own cold shoe mounts for attaching a range of accessories like mic’s and even finder scope if you have the right gear. Great ð product.
