Great for price
Honestly I was getting desperate for something that would allow us to play/mix. After hacker issues, we have been unable to use anything that required Wifi. With the price and the ability to use flash drives for music track selection, this has been a game changer. Music is life! and sadly been unable to make it for several years now until getting this controller.

Sound out of the unit is poor.
I purchased this unit for a friends graduation party but when I hooked up my speakers to the sound board the audio quality was poor and at first I thought I had a blown speaker. After some testing and changes I finally stopped using the mixer and played songs off the laptop using the headphone jack to the speakers and the sound was perfect. I don’t know if this is a driver issue or defective unit.

Mixer of the Year! Lol
A little difficult to get use to but what Mixer isn’t!!! I was upset with the having to buy online capability for $100 after hooking it up using it for only ten mins at a time is no fun! It’s definitely an amazing machine!!! My son has done some amazing things with it!!!

The Denon mc4000 is the better buy…
It’s a great idea, but its trying to do too much at this price point and therefore fails horribly…. Buy the Denon MC4000 instead and a cheap laptop…I needed a simple controller to playback my own music. This seems very appealing because it comes with alot of great features and its super convieniet that both decks can read from the same usb stick. And not needing a laptop is awesome…The problem… Quality and reliabilityThe mic in didn’t work from the factory… Thats a big deal. It sounds like it has a gate filter that was malfunctioning.The sound quality is terrible!It will not play WAV files not a deal breaker …The screen display and navigation is good. The waveform display is useless…Overall if it worked I would have probably stuck with it. Not having to connect to a laptop is a wonderful concept. Ended up Sending it back and going with the Denon MC4000…The fact that 40.00 more gets you SIGNIFICANTLY better build quality, 24 bit playback, EQ and 2 mic inputs its a way way better deal…Sad this could have been good

This will give you enough freedom to play
I loved it.. In one word! the navigation for the USB. can be played without computer, which is what I wanted to do.. keeps the order you compile and number your tracks. The looping and Cues are so easy and helpfull. The wave form can me Zoomed in and out. The BPM is displayed for the songs, Name, duration and more. The knobs are tight not loose.. I’m in loved with this toy.. Recomended buy it before is too late..

If it’s not working properly it’s probably you.
My first intentions were to return this product cuz I couldn’t get it to work right,but after Messing around with the settings on my Mac, and getting rid of the cheap usb flash drives she started to work just fine. I had to watch alot of YouTube videos to work thru the vdj bugs, but at the end it was worth it . I have alot of fun with this gmix, and I tend to mix alot more now because of its small size and quick set up time. I would give this product a 4.5 stars, and would recommend this gemini for someone that wants to start out , and doesn’t want to spend alot of money.
