Amazing sound
This is so worth it for the money. The sound is amazing. The comments we got last night were ” You can feel it and hear it, it sounds like we’re in a movie theater” it really is nice for the money. I bought extra hardware thinking I needed it to hang the rear speakers and the soundbar and what came with it was perfect I didn’t need anything extra. It’s on the small side which is really nice and it packs a great punch for its size. I have it hooked up to my 85-in Hisense 4K TV and it really is amazing. It hooked up so easy. As soon as I plugged in the HDMI cord into the back of the TV the TV recognized the system and even configured the Bluetooth with the rear speakers and subwoofer. I am very pleased and highly recommend this setup especially for the money.

Great soundbar for a compact space
While most small soundbars are in fact loud, they tend to not have great sound. This is the exception. For its size it not only fills a small room with sound, it has great bass output too. Connectivity is no problem. You have a line in , optical , USB, RCA, Bluetooth, and a HDMI-ARC connection. My only complaint is that there is only one HDMI connection, and there is no display on the unit to show the sound mode, volume level, or connection type. But for the price, asking for those things is a little much anyway. Bottom line, if you have a smaller space and want big sound, this is the sound bar for you.

This is what good enough sounds like.
I purchased the HS214 to replace my old sound bar, as I’d lost the original remote and had no way to operate it any longer. The draw was the ARC HDMI connection, the face buttons (as opposed to no buttons), and the built-in subwoofer. For reference, I own an onn 65″ 4K Roku TV thanks to Black Friday, and a killer gaming PC connected to it. Installing the bar was super easy. I already had the TV on, plugged in the power and HDMI cable, and it woke up on its own. I turned the TV off and it turned off. I don’t think it gets much easier. I am able to control the volume with the TV remote. I was also able, with the original remote, to turn the brightness down/off on the LED indicator and to adjust the bass volume relative to the overall volume. Nice…The subwoofer is likely the big question with this bar. I have the settings set to movie, full crank on the subwoofer volume. I can’t feel the bass, but I can hear it just fine. It’s a 3″ speaker with a 1/4″ foam flex surround. This is best for people who live in apartments with thin walls (or some similar situation) that want at least some kind of bass to work with. The only drawback I’ve found is if too much time passes, the bar will shut off on its own, like a sleep function after 10-15 minutes. I can use the original remote or the face buttons to turn it on, or turn the TV off and back on. Not a big deal if you have media constantly running, but I use my TV as a computer monitor, so I’m not always making noise with it. There seems to be no clear way to change this. It’s a common function in modern devices, so it is what it isIf this were a sound system that you could turn up and blow the windows out of the house, this would be a 5-star review and a 5-star product. This is a 4-star sound bar, and that’s exactly what I wanted to purchase. It’s not crystal clear, it’s not a thunder generator, but for my purposes, it’ll do just fine. Definitely sounds better than the stock TV speakers. I am satisfied with my purchase.

Very excellent product
I’m thrilled with the Hisense HS3100 3.1Ch Sound Bar! The sound quality is exceptional, delivering clear, immersive audio that enhances my viewing experience. The wireless subwoofer adds a powerful bass that fills the room without clutter from extra cables. With 480W of power, it easily handles everything from movies to music with impressive clarity and depth. The inclusion of DTS Virtual: X and Dolby Digital technology creates a surround sound effect that makes you feel like you’re in the middle of the action. The setup was straightforward, and the sleek design perfectly fits my home entertainment setup. Overall, this sound bar offers fantastic value for its price, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their audio experience.

Pretty Good, one caveat
My 10 year old insignia tv kept giving me “HDMI Errors” and none of the diy remedies worked. I upgraded to a new 2022 Hisense TV with Roku built in to eliminate the HDMI Errors, but the only problem is the new TV has horrible sound. I am not a TV sound snob, but the sound really was terrible. I bought this sound bar hoping to improve the sound and it works great. Huge improvement in sound quality. It was a complete plug and play installation. This goes on when the TV goes on, and this goes off when the TV goes off. I use my TV(Roku) remote as normal. I never even put the batteries in the remote that came with the sound bar. No Need. Only thing different is my TV volume now increases by 5 instead of by 1. So instead of the sound going up 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8…. it now goes 5,10,15,20. I am not sure why it does this, but I have not had a problem finding an appropriate sound level. I would recommend for anyone looking to improve the sound of a tv. I bought the 2.1 model for $80.UPDATE: I am lowering my rating. First time I used this at night I realized (which I had not noticed during the day time) there is a bright white light right in the middle of the sound bar shining at you. Obviously I placed this just under my tv, and it was awfully distracting trying to watch tv at night in the dark with a bright white light shining in my face. The light is behind the metal grill, which does not appear removable, so I had to put black tape over the grill to cover the obnoxious light. I am not as impressed as I originally was.

Great sound
Amazing sound system for the money. Great sound. The only issue was the cheap wires that connect the speakers to the sub woofer. I had to purchase much thicker gauge connecting wires in order to get solid sound to get rid of the static.

Great sound Bluetooth
This works better blue toothed than hooked up directly to the TV. I want to feel the noise and when I have connected to my phone or other device it is loud. Going through the TV it is pretty good. Great for movies. But for music don’t go through the TV.

I live in an apartment so having a full range 5.1 system with a subwoofer on the floor shaking my neighbours wasn’t an option. This sound bar from Hisense paired with a 65 inch Hisense TV is an amazing experience. I switched between the TV speakers and the sound bar during intense movie scenes and quieter moments just to hear the difference, and it just convinced me that this is well worth the 100$ I paid for it. The dialogue are super crisp and clear, and there’s enough bass to envelop the listeners when watching movies or listening to music, but not too much that my neighbours will get mad at me.Probably not the best product for a large living room, but you get what you pay for, and I am utterly satisfied with this product.Only downside, and this is not the sound bar’s fault from the research I made on the subject, but the HDMI ARC is not working for me even though I did everything I could for it to work. The only difference with using optical is that my TV remote and the sound bar remote works independently from each other. I just put max volume, movie preset (which sound better for even music anyways), and max bass (it’s not that crazy anyways) on the sound bar, then put that remote away and only use my TV remote from now on.I don’t understand the reviews saying it’s not loud enough. Unless you put it in a wide open space like a loft with super high ceiling, the sound bar is very impressive for its size.Perfect for a small to medium living room with 8 to 10 feet ceiling.

It took me a a while to figure out how to get true 5.1 sound to work properly. Used the ARC port on the back. Bypassed TV control. Use the Soundbar controls to enable surround sound. Now it delivers the 5.1 and it sounds great. Instructions should be a little more clear on how to do this when hooked up to a Smart TV.
