Keeps my Systems in Rest Mode for Updates Without Worrying About Small Outages.
I bought this APC because I had a smaller one that just wasn’t cutting the load I had on it. So I moved the old one to another room, and this one to my gaming room. It holds up 4 of my consoles, my TV, and my digital clock is in the surge protector side. It will have me power two of my consoles and my TV without flinching. I’m sure when I get my PC it will holdup as well. I definitely recommend this to anyone that had multiple electronics plugged in at once that suffer from brownouts or small blackouts…

    APC 1500: Battery Back-Up w/Surge Protection [Re-Newed Item]
The APC 1500 Model is Re-Newed. It just doesn’t come with the OEM but a Re-Newed Packaged from the Manufacturer. The Price is Accommodating. There’s Gimmick to getting it Running, but in the Long-Run, It works Fine. Remember it’s 1500VA & 900watts Capacity. 100watts less then the Pro 1500 S 1000watts. Protection Warranty for $250,000 for my Model and $500,000 for the Pro 1500 S.

Dreaded F02 error takes away the entire purpose of the APC UPS. UGH!
Imagine installing this UPS to ensure that if the power goes out in the house for 30 seconds or 30 minutes, your Synology NAS will stay on, and will power off in an orderly fashion, but instead, the APC UPS goes out with an F02 error which abnormally shuts off your Synology NAS, potentially corrupting the Volume. The entire purpose of the APC UPS was to ensure we never have a corrupted volume on the Synology NAS because of a power outage from the power company. But this is worse because the power company outages are quite rare, but the APC lasted just a couple of weeks and then BOOM! the dreaded F02 error.I wish I would have known about the common F02 error on the APC.I will be searching for another manufacturer, for sure.

Great UPS but getting too expensive
We like the APC 1500 but they have a habit of going bad after about 3 years not the battieresi F01/F02 errors which are very annoying. But they are better than any of the others we have tried.

Not for use with networks faster than 100 Mbps
Do NOT purchase if you plan to use it to protect your Ethernet devices at speeds above 100mbps. This was one of the reasons I purchased it, along with extra Cat6 cables. I’ve seen conflicting specs on this, but it definitely caps my 1Gig network to 100 Mbps.

You have to pay $250 extra per computer to use network shutdown software
A battery this big can easily run multiple computers or even a fairly large VM host. However, to shut down anything more than one computer plugged directly in by USB you have to buy their enterprise software separately, which costs an other $250 or so PER computer PER YEAR as a subscription!. Crazy for a piece of software to cost more than the hardware for basic functionality, again PER YEAR, not a one time purchase. The cyber power unit I had this replaced came with that software for a similar price.I’m investigating using NUT, free tools, but their windows support is lacking which means I have to deploy a Linux VM just to manage shutting down other systems.
