If your vehicle comes with factory OEM wired CarPlay, then this box is perfect for you. But it do not compatible with BMW, Nissan Murano and Nissan Qashqai/Mitsubishi/Leaf models for now.

How to make sure my phone support wireless CarPlay/Android Auto?
If your iOS phone is above iPhone 6 or iOS 10 version, it supports wireless CarPlay; If your Android phone is above Android 11.0 version which support 5G WiFi, it supports wireless Android Auto. Attention: not compatible with some Samsung phone.
How to use this CarPlay AI Box in cars with wired Android Auto.
The box only works with cars with factory OEM wired CarPlay. But you can ask for an upgrade file from us, upgrade it with a TF card, and it will be ready to use.

The instructions are microscopic as shown in the picture. I took photos and blew them up to better read themâ¦so this could be improved on. Initially I had trouble getting this to work consistently, but I will say that I was contacted by their customer support several times to check on my progress, and try to help. When I finally got it working, the pictures and sound were good and played smoothly.

The adapter itself is quite large and takes up considerable space in my carâs top tray in the center console. The build quality is decent, but itâs entirely plastic and lacks any materials designed to dissipate heat efficiently, which might be a concern during extended use. For this review, I used a 2022 Mazda CX-5, which, unfortunately, does not come with a touchscreen, making it a good test for Bluetooth accessories.When plugged in and the carâs ACC mode is activated, it takes about 30 seconds to boot to the Home Screen, as the Android system needs time to start up. This could be inconvenient for those in a hurry. After that, it takes an additional 15 seconds for CarPlay to load (I had already pre-configured it and set it to be the first startup app). However, thereâs noticeable latency when pausing music or viewing the speedometer in Waze, which can be frustrating.The specs could definitely be better (2gb ram and 4 core slow processor), as the unit feels sluggish when navigating or using apps. On the positive side, I connected a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, which worked flawlessly, making setup easy. After disconnecting from CarPlay, I connected the unit to my phoneâs hotspot to enable Wi-Fi, which was simple thanks to the mouse and keyboard. However, it would be more convenient for users with touchscreens. I did notice the settings app crashes frequently when running in the background, so the systemâs stability could be improved.Another drawback is that after disconnecting from CarPlay, Wi-Fi needs to be manually re-enabled if you want Android apps to work. Once I logged into my Google account, I was able to download apps from the Play Store, though the unit doesnât come with a web browser installed. I installed Opera Mini, which is lightweight, offers ad blocking, and allows APK downloads. However, download speeds are sluggish, even though I had 5G on my phone. The wifi is really slow on this.After setting things up, I installed ReVanced Manager, which enabled ad-free YouTube and YTmusic streaming which definitely is a big improvement since ads significantly slowed down the pre-installed apps. I also uninstalled original YouTube, TikTok, and other pre-installed apps I didnât need. YouTube ReVanced runs well, but 1080p videos are slow, so I switched to 720p for smoother playback. Hardware canât handle 1080p videos why??Overall, this unit is great for enthusiasts who enjoy tinkering, and it gets the job done. However, the performance is lacking, and the specs could be better, especially considering the $180 price tag before tax.

This really increases the functionality of your infotainment.First it lets you have wireless car play and android auto. It then let’s you install basically any app and consume any content on your car screen. Great for YouTube podcasts or watching shows while parked, or playing shows for your kids to watch on road trips.It’s not super fast, but it’s good enough for simple media consumption.
