This camera is a nice budget friendly “starter” digital camera.
So I love this digital camera! This camera comes with an external mic, and a telephoto lens so you can zoom in to 16x. The carry bag that comes with this should be upgraded to a real protective camera bag to keep the camera safe. The video was taken over about 3.5 hours, time lapse as you can tell by the last few seconds of the clip. The book that comes with this camera is thick, and it took me a while to read it. The dial on the top of the camera selects mode going from pictures, burst pictures, video, slo mo, time lapse and the last one is review videos and pictures. The auto focus takes a little getting used to, and your basically pressing one time to get the red bars, once they turn green and your subject is in focus press again to take a still photo. It took me about 70 still shots to finally get used to the auto focus. I wasn’t able to get this camera to work in windows 10 as a net cam likely due to drivers issues, but it does connect to the laptop using the cable that comes with it to charge batteries, move videos and files and can be used as a net camera (at least according to the documentation.) Adding an extension USB cable will cause the camera not be recognized in windows 10 at least from what I saw. So only use the cable that comes with the camera. So my humble opinion is this camera is priced good for an entry level camera, and has the features of a more advanced camera. The video in low light looks grainy, but I didn’t play around with doing anything more then just default video, same with stills. I’m really impressed how nice it takes still pictures (once you figure out the press hold, turn gree press again to take pictures). I really like that this camera is USB-C and I was able to use my powerpack for another camera to keep it powered up for almost four hours for the time lapse video. This camera doesn’t have the stabilization features like an action camera, so if your planning on doing action video/shots this might not be what you want to buy. I think with the right lighting behind this camera it would be good for vlogging, because it already has an external microphone. The 1500 mAh batteries seem to have pretty good battery life, but I didn’t use them very long and mostly just did still shots. My cat model wasn’t having it by the time I got a lot of pictures taken she was about ready to go. After she bailed, I switched to taking pictures of items to show what the camera can do. This camera is lightweight, it comes with a carry bag and SD card. I would suggest using a tripod and turning the LCD screen if your trying to get video of yourself for vlogging. I’d also suggest using the application that can be downloaded to make using the camera easier because if it’s like a gopro you can use your phone as a remote for shots and video while having the camera steady on a mount. I did not install the app since I have too much stuff on my phone already. I think this camera is a five out of five stars because it’s budget friendly and functional. The camera has a learning curve, but I think they all do after having a gopro for a short time it seems to me that learning to use a camera is a skill set. I’m going to include some of the blurry cat pics so you can see what happens when you don’t let the red lines turn green for auto focus (last three cat pics have some blur to them, and that was all my user error!).
