Leaves a film residue in the water. I prepped it 5 times with filtered water once I received it, and a layer of film on the water every time! YUCK! Do NOT buy.

Nice Coffeemaker but Not for Dark-Roasted Whole Beans
This coffee maker’s coolest feature is that it has a built-in grinder, so you can always have freshly ground coffee in your pot!However, if you like dark-roasted coffee, it is not recommended that you use whole beans because they tend to be oily and can foul the mechanisms. You will need to use already ground coffee if you like dark roasted. This coffee maker does have a setting to use ground coffee. However, then you are losing the cool grinder feature, so this probably isnât a good choice for you.The other thing I didnât like about the design is that the water reservoir is in the back, so youâll need to pull the coffee maker out to fill it with water.Otherwise, it is a nice unit!

When It Works, It’s Great. But the Life of the Machine Was Short-Lived
When the product works, the coffee quality was great! I used it once a day, for a couple of months. An integral piece of the machine broke, and I tried to get in touch with the manufacturer, Electactic, and their support email bounces back. With no way to contact someone, the $155+ I spent on this product to use for two months was, in effect, wasted.Amazon did everything they could to help me, so my review is not directed at them. I will not be purchasing any other items for this manufacturer in the future.
