For the size and cost, it is a bargain. Sound great the bass boost button give it some extra low end.

Update: With a few more hours of listening I’ll say, “Unless you’re looking for chest-rattling bass, I think you’ll be happy.” I think what really threw me was the clarity of the highs and the volume output. I’m not used to highs this clearly defined outside of my 2.1 tv setup with 2-8” woofers and tweeters getting 150 watts from a dedicated amp and a ported 12” car audio sub with a custom passive low pass filter, wired it myself, eating 200 watts from its own stand alone amp. None of this cost me a ton, it’s all free or cheap or cobbled together, but even with scrounging and deals I probably have twice the cost of this speaker in components and most of it was from 10-15 years ago. I.E. not a fair comparison, but the clarity, volume, and highs immediately made my brain think, “this is my home theater setup!” All that to say, don’t expect this speaker to stay cheap for long. Once the reviews come in, demand will drive price. This is a really solid unit, especially for >$100.Original review:This speaker is LARGE. Look at one of your thighs, that’s roughly how big it is. The sound is fairly bright, there is bass and it’s not lacking, but you’re also not going to FEEL it pounding. 20-30% volume is comfortable for a living room, maybe 50% if you’re really getting into a movie or, like us, letting your toddler have a dance party to get the wiggles out. I think my phone started cutting the volume around 80-90% protect our hearing. I have my phone set to cut at 90db, where OSHA warns of hearing damage for prolonged exposure, because my hearing is already bad from work.From what I can see there are 2 woofers about 4.25” dia, 2 small tweeters, and 2 passive radiators on the sides. The radiators have pretty lights in them, I turned them off because my toddler wanted to poke them. I didn’t notice any distortion at any volumes but I also didn’t keep it very loud for more than a few seconds. You may want more bass, but if you want more volume you ought to consider a wired system; I’m not saying louder Bluetooth speakers that run on battery don’t exist but this one is loud enough to be really obnoxious in a suburban backyard or at a community pool.There’s an attached rubber cover over the rear USB C charging port, USB A, 3.5mm aux, and micro sd. The USB A is supposed to let you charge other devices; I tried a pair of Bluetooth headphones and a battery bank for a phone and they didn’t seem interested in charging off it, but my phone cables are USB C so I didn’t try a phone.As far as Bluetooth speakers go: it’s large and louder than I ever expect to need. The water resistance is nice so if I’m listening to it outside or working, I don’t have to worry about it getting a little wet if I have other things to pack up. This speaker SEEMS, to me, to be aiming for the JBL Boombox line and while I would expect more bass from the JBL: 1. I don’t own one and can’t do more than guess and 2. The current model JBL is almost 6x the cost of this one….. it kind of needs to do something to justify its existence at that point.Beach, pool, yard work, new construction, painting, general contracting, an automotive garage, I can think of a LOT of places this speaker would shine. Hook the aux port into your tv and use it as a sound bar, outdoor movie night with a projector. I was pleasantly surprised with the volume and clarity of this speaker.Also, not that it matters, but the logo is phallic in nature. My wife agreed. Doesn’t affect anything either way in my opinion, but now you see it too.

Brings the boom on a budget.
Great budget boombox and I enjoy using this speaker in the garage and out on fishing trips. Puts out a lot of sound and it has some good low end thump – as it should. I’m not going to dwell too much on sound quality here since this is a party speaker after all but it does sound generally pretty good and the soundstage is not super overpowering in any aspect. In my opinion I find the extra bass feature definitely livens up the sound so I prefer to run it even across different genres. Being able to use it as a portable power bank is the icing on the cake.My main gripe – and the only reason I’m giving it four stars – is the build and packaging quality. It isn’t bad at all for the most part – the overall construction is quite weighty and solid – but when I received mine it had a huge dent in the grill right out of the box. I was able to push it back out but it did leave a somewhat prominent crease. The grill itself is made of pretty thin metal and there isn’t much padding in box to protect it. It’s pretty unfortunate this happened and it kind of makes me call into question the long term durability of this speaker. The large grill openings and the exposed diaphragms on the sides leave me a little concerned about foreign material ingress. I probably wouldn’t use it somewhere it could get wet or very dirty, just to be on the safe side.Otherwise I’m very happy with it. It’s just about everything I’d want from a speaker of this type without breaking the bank.
