Fantastic product but bait is key!
Exactly what I was looking for! Great design and very easy to set up/use. Extremely effective, very durable and was able to catch what I thought was only one mouse but two within the first 2 hours of placing them down. Glue traps usually did the trick but for some reason they were very ineffective this time around. I would definitely buy this product again and would highly recommend it to a friend or future buyer. If you want peace of mind then definitely pick these up.Note: Bait is key to a successful catch. I placed several units out using dabs of peanut butter during the first hour. After giving it some thought, I realized that peanut butter was the same bait I used for the ineffective glue traps. The mice were attracted to a sealed fig bar that they were able to chew into. So I added a small morsel of a fig bar to each of the traps and literally within the second hour, boom, success!

You need these items promise
I cant say enough. If you have any issues with rodents in any area, you need these. Theyre incredibly easy to use and set and then toss away the mice. Even my 11 year old can set and trash them and theyre very sturdy and effective!

Effective snd Safe Traps.
We saw evidence that a mouse was enjoying the hospitality of our home. As in the past, we set out the standard old style Victor traps. Somehow this mouse figured out how to get the bait from two traps without triggering them. Smart mouse. So I tried these traps and got the little guy about two hours after setting the traps. These traps are easy to use and are effective. Bait is set in a removable cap type container. Think something like an upside down bottle cap. I unscrewed all of the bait caps and loaded them with peanut butter. For each trap, I reinserted the bait cap, pressed the lever until the trap locked and then set the trap. The mouse has to step on a hair trigger floor pedal to get to the bait. When it does, the trap snaps and sends him to mouse heaven. The mouse is easily disposed of by pressing the lever which opens the trap and the mouse falls out in our case, into a plastic sandwich bag. There is no need to touch the mouse. Also you never have to put your hand where the trap might accidentally snap on your fingers. This has happened to me a couple times with the old victor traps and it teaches you quickly to be careful. They are also easily cleaned under a faucet. These will be my mouse traps of choice going forward.

Rodents = Zero Time: Donât waste time on trial and error.
Does not trip! When they were delivered, I opened them up and examined as I have been experiencing heavy traffic due to construction of a new house next door. Prior to these being delivered (next day delivery which was nice!), I had purchased two of the old-school wood and wire snap traps from my local hardware store to get at least a jump on them before these were delivered. Just as weâre on topic, BOTH of the cheap, wood/wire snap traps worked great.I purchased these as they were a large bundle pack for a great price and relatively great reviews. But again, as I inspected them right out of the box, I wasnât impressed.First, Iâve never dealt with this new style of plastic-teeth style traps and frankly, was weary of them. On all accounts, they didnât seem like much of a threat nor would actually get the job done. But after more thought on it, it would have been the force and speed of the snap that would have done the damage, not so much the teeth themselves.Secondly, I didnât find the tripping mechanism as sensitive as I would have thought, had expected, and/or been accustomed too. As I set the trap for a dry run, I guided the lever as to not slam down on my finger, but I was highly surprised when it required much more pressure on the âplatformâ to get it to trigger than I would have imagined (much heavier than a mouse or even a rat would have weighed). I did do this dry run using other obstacles and maneuvers (as in wiggles vs. heavy pressure) many times and although it did eventually trip, it definitely didnât feel natural or smooth, but almost forced.Nonetheless, because I needed them, they had high reviews, and what the heck⦠even if four of the twenty didnât work, Iâd feel it would have been a successful staging, I went forward with placing them.I only set up FIVE of the TWENTY, just as a base point to see where my activity was and where to adjust. Ultimately, after two days, I kept checking and checking⦠nothing. After being somewhat puzzled (mind you I was weary from the get-go), I inspected them further only to find they HAD BEEN EATING the bait⦠ALL OF THRM! And one even was licked clean (meaning they were very comfortable on the âplatformâ without any concern of danger!) Nothing tripped. Again⦠NOTHING TRIPPED. I didnât get any! Not even a snap with an empty trap. And it wasnât because of the plastic teeth that I initially was concerned if theyâd actually do the deed⦠we never even made it that far. It was the sensitivity (or lack there of) the tripping mechanism. So I donât know. They didnât work out for me. I have since individually Ziplokâed all 5 of the âusedâ traps and sent back for refund. I donât have time to worry if I got a âdefectiveâ set or not. Bottom line for my family and me, they didnât work and it wasted precious time.On a note of what I did like about this purchase, the delivery timeframe and price were big wins. When you need traps and youâre ordering online⦠you need it yesterday, so that was nice. Secondly, I did like the idea of the easy set mechanism. I mean, how can you go wrong? Just clamp down and youâre ready to go. However, nice idea, terrible in practice. In fact, now I remember one that I had set was in somewhat of a small corner along the wall I couldnât quite reach and I accidentally dropped it from about 6â, luckily it landed right side up⦠I should have been more alarmed then when that tumble of the unit itself didnât trip. Hindsightâ¦To finish my review, Iâm pleased that so many other people had high reviews and positive experiences. However, I simply donât know how mine was so drastically different and unresolved compared to theirs, but all I can say is that when you have rodents, you DONâT HAVE TIME to trial and error. Based on that, I highly wouldnât recommend!I did reorder from Amazon⦠trusty olâ wood and wire snap traps that although an uneasy feeling to set, you look at them wrong and they trip. No questions. No concerns. No empty bait trays where the culprit dined and dashed. And as mentioned previously, Amazon got all twenty of these back⦠some with half eaten peanut butter.Best of luck to who reads this.
