As someone who spends a lot of time on the road, finding a reliable phone holder is an absolute necessity. This Dashboard Universal Car Phone Holder is, without a doubt, one of the best I’ve ever tried.LITERALLY THE BEST phone holder you can buy! The design to take the phone in and out of the holder is so easy and GENIUS! I have been searching high and low for a good cell phone mount for my car. HTU 4-in-1 Cell Phone Holder for Car is PERFECT!I am getting ready for a road trip and needed something to hold my phone safely so I can use it for phone calls, navigation, and music (and be switching back and forth between all these functions). Considering the nightmare experience I had with my last car phone holder, tumbling to the floor right in the middle of giving me GPS directions, cheap plastic scratching my phone, clamps can’t hold my heavy iPhone 13 with an Otter Box up… there is always something that makes them a deal breaker. I kept putting up with my last phone holder, every time after tightening the “nuts and bolts,” they stayed tight for maybe a day before they started loosening up. So, I have to retighten them pretty often. Anyway, I’ve decided not to waste another penny on the cell phone holder. I picked this one because it was an Amazon Choice and it had almost perfect stars.After I carefully browsed its pictures and promotional videos, I decisively chose it, and the fact did not disappoint me. When it’s cool outside I’ll use the suction cup and when it’s hot I’ll move the mount to the vents. So far this has been an excellent mount. It comes in a well designed product box, with the mount and parts for dash mounting or using a clip plus wipes. The ball joint and other adjustments hold firm and work well. The first surprise was a soft open mechanism that’s triggered by squeezing the sides rather than having to manually pry a spring grip apart. Setting the phone in place is simply a case of putting the phone in and squeezing the grippers, and then squeezing the sides to release. It’s stuck well to my dashboard even though it’s curved. There are sufficient degrees of freedom to be able to adjust the phone well, including the vertical position within the mount, as the base support piece can be extended. The only downside is that the clamp obscures the thumb print sensor on some phones. e.g. the Sony Xperia VI, so it can only be unlocked by entering the pin code. With phones such as the iPhone having face detection there’s no issue. Overall this is an excellent mount and good value.

HTU Car Phone Holder MountHaving recently made a trip where my Sat-Nav packed up, where I then had to resort to using my phone for navigation during a long traffic detour. After fumbling around with elastic bands to hold the phone in place I decided to look out for a purpose made car phone holder. I did look at quite a few phone holders which were not really suitable for our car, but when I was offered this model it appeared to be just what I was looking for.The holder arrives with various ways to mount a phone in your car. First there is a good size extendable boom that has a large suction cup on one end, this will mount to glass or to the dash. This is not suitable for a textured dash but ours has a large flat area which is suitable for a suction mount. To be honest, I prefer to use a suction mount over a stick on one as it can be removed cleanly without causing damage. Stick on pads can sometimes be impossible to remove once in place, often leaving clue residue behind, a suction cup should leave no damage.If the suction cup is not suitable then there is also an option to use the included vent clamp, this will clip into an air vent on your dashboard, a locking screw fixes it securely in place. Both mountings are easily attached to the phone holder by way of a rotating ball and locking ring.The phone holder itself is easily adjustable for most sizes of mobile phone, my phone has a larger than average screen but is easily accommodated in the holder. What I particularly like is that the holder is soft and padded so there is no risk of scratches. There is an upward facing arm on the bottom for the phone to sit on, the side arms are on a ratchet system so that they can be gently pushed in to grip the phone securely. To release press the side buttons, the gripping arms then open slowly as they are mounted on springs providing a smooth but slow opening action.Overall I am very pleased with what I received. The car phone holder is made from tough looking plastic which seems durable and likely to last. The mounting arm has plenty of adjustment so the phone can be manipulated into the ideal position then locked into place. Diese Smartphone Halterung stellt einen ausgezeichneten Ersatz zu den üblichen Schwanenhals Halterungen dar die ich sonst immer in Verwendung hatte.Im Lieferumfang befinden sich:Die Halterung des Smartphones, der Arm mit Saugnapf, eine kleine Halterung für Lüftungsslitze, eine kleine Gummi Kabelführung, ein Feuchttuch und ein Trockentuch sowie die Bedienungsanleitung in englischer Sprache.Hergestellt wurde diese Smartphone Halterung aus stabilem Kunststoff und jedes Teil wurde sorgfältig gearbeitet.Jede Schraube zum verstellen lässt sich sehr leicht bewegen, welches die sehr gute Qualität der Gewinde bzw der kompletten Halterung widerspiegelt.Der Zusammenbau gestaltet sich sehr einfach.Die Mutter auf der Rückseite der Telefonhalterung abdrehen, umgekehrt auf die Kugel des Armes vom Saugnapf stecken, die Mutter wieder fest ziehen und schon ist die Halterung fix zusammen gebaut.Anschließend die Stelle an der Windschutzscheibe entweder mit den mitgelieferten Tüchern erst feucht und danach trocken wischen, oder mit anderen sauberen Tüchern dies erledigen.Jetzt den Saugnapf auf die saubere Stelle kleben und den Hebel der Arretierung nach unten drücken.Es ist empfehlenswert ca 30 Minuten zu warten, damit der Saugnapf genügend Sogwirkung aufgebaut hat um das Smartphone sicher und fest an der Scheibe zu halten.Nun kann die Einstellung auf die gewünschte Höhe bzw Winkel des Armes eingestellt werden.Um die Höhe einzustellen, einfach am Saugnapf die Flügelmutter lösen und den Arm bewegen bis die gewünschte Höhe erreicht ist.Sehr komfortabel ist, dass sie auch näher an einen heran geführt werden kann. Und nicht wie bei vielen anderen Halterungen auf eine feste Länge begrenzt ist.An der Oberseite des Armes befindet sich eine kleine Mutter, diese lösen und so kann sie auf die erforderliche Nähe verstellt werden.Genauso einfach wie die Montage der Telefon Halterung, geschieht das montieren der Halterung für Lüftungsschlitze.Wie eingangs erwähnt, nutzte ich über viele Jahre die Halterungen mit flexiblem Schwanenhals.Mich störte daran immer sehr, dass sie anfingen zu wackeln bei großen und schweren Smartphones, was das ablesen des Displays welches als Navigation benutzt wird schwer machte.Dieses Problem gehört bei der Smartphone Halterung von HTU der Vergangenheit an. Sie sitzt stramm an der Scheibe und hält das Telefon schön fest.Sich für diese Halterung zu entscheiden ist eine sehr gute Wahl und eine Kaufempfehlung spreche ich sehr gerne aus.Beste Grüße,MettDroid 😊👋
