Overall great scooter â buy with confidence!
Bought this Movemagic scooter for my disabled wife, who had been using an Invacare Lynx L-4. She prefers the four-wheeled scooters, so this popped onto my list of options. Bought this one due to the overall good reviews, price, and purported range. So far, not disappointed! The big problem she was having with her previous scooter was that the Pb-acid batteries were barely lasting a couple months before needing replacement. And, even in the best case, their range seemed really modest â a couple miles max. After only modest use, that would drop down to one lap around the neighborhood or about 1 mile: weak!So was really drawn toward the Li-ion battery tech in this scooter. And it TOTALLY delivers! She can now go for 4-5 days between charges with her 30 A-hr battery and since we bought the â45 mileâ range version, we have a spare 15 A-hr battery so can easily rotate between the two. In this way, we always have a fully-charged, fresh battery ready to go. Now she is able to do almost 10 miles a day, for several days, before needing to charge the bigger battery; the smaller one is about half that â 2-3 days between charges, as expected. This is an incredible improvement! The overall size of the scooter is similar to the Lynx, so about a wash there. The controls are a little different and the wife prefers the âpullâ type lever on this one compared to her previous scooterâs âpushâ type. A minor detail. The motor controller is really nice with a more sophisticated acceleration profiling ramp. In other words, if you ânail the throttleâ, the scooter doesnât just rocket off. It gradually builds up speed so is more controllable. The downside is that if you expect instant response youâll be left wanting, and likewise it is a more disconnected throttle/motor connection. This is a bit of a taste thing. The turning radius is not as tight as the Lynx which is a downside in terms of being able to maneuver in tight spots. On the up side, it makes the platform a lot less likely to tip over: it was waaay easy to get the old scooter up on two wheels and she is not interested in recreating the Dukes of Hazzard on this thing! The seat is a little less plush than the Lynx, and the back is not as rigid. But, again, she reports that she likes this one better. The motor and drive mechanism are SUPER quiet. The motor is quite powerful and the thing is plenty quick; faster than any walking pace when set to full speed. The speed control, horn and light controls are easy and intuitive to use. The built in head light is super bright! This was really nice â she had to use my bike light on her old scooter which meant I had to keep switching it back and forth. That the light control is now right on her dash is great. The battery is much lighter than the lead-chunks on the old scooter and they are super easy to swap out. I do wish the scooter chassis broke in half like many do as this helps to get in in the car for transport. But, since the scooter is pretty light itâs a minor inconvenience â just need to have a bit more space in the car/truck allocated for it.Sheâs had it for a couple months now and has had plenty of seat time. She still LOVES it! And, that means I do too!

Scooter
Iâm very happy with this machine. It came on time was boxed beautifully and was easy to put together. I am a 73 year-old woman and I was able to do everything by myself. Itâs a little bit heavy for me and I will need to have help putting it in my car. Itâs also small which is great for this small person (Iâm only 4â11). My son who is 5â9 said he was comfortable but I thought he looked a little large on it. I live on a gravel road and it was important for me to have something that would go on gravel. It moves very well on the on the gravel, but it is a bit of a rough ride. I rode it over to the park about 1/4 mile which is paved and it cruises right along. Itâs peppy. The next weekend My son and I took it to the bike path and I rode it for about 6 to 7 hours on the bike path without any problems. Went about 10 miles with it. It never slowed down or lost power . Iâm very pleased with its performance. It went uphill and downhill, and the speed never changed. I have been housebound and this machine is going to be a blessing. Itâs gonna give me access to the out of doors again.

good customer service , very surprised
The scooter is easy to assemble and once battery is charged it runs and works fine , scooter works and functions great.it is comfortable but turning radius is OK , but wish it could turn tighter, mobility is good , weight is not bad and you can lessen weight with removable seats and baskets which helps with room to store or travel with.battery life , not sure yet , we just got it ,we will know later as its being used.

Worth the money
Let me start with their customer service. My scooter arrived completely dead. After a fairly straightforward and easy assembly,I figured it was something not too complicated, but I didnât want to tear into it and void any warranty.I contacted them on a Friday night, and they immediately responded. They are in China, so there was an issue with timing and them being in the office. But by Saturday night, they had sent me a video showing me how to remove the control board with two simple Philips screws underneath the scooter and check for loose wiring. Sure enough, there was a positive terminal completely disconnected. As for the scooter, I came from driving a couple of 3-wheeled Drive Sp!tfires the last three years. The first one broke on the steering column after two years, and the second one only lasted one year before the front frame snapped. I decided to try something different even though it had most of the basic features I was looking for.Its 4-wheel design is much sturdier than the 3-wheel I had been using.I wanted to make sure the throttle worked the same. I wanted a paddle type throttle that worked in both directions so you can forward/reverse from either hand. This scooter has that.I wanted lithium ion batteries. This scooter has that.I wanted a decent turn radius. Itâs a few degrees less than my old 3-wheel, but is sufficient enough and perfectly capable for home use. I have a perfect right turn down my hall to get to my bedroom and it handles it just fine. The seat sits a little lower than I want at its highest setting, but at almost 6â 2â Iâm used to a little compromise there. The chair had to swivel with a simple handle pull, and this one does. The arms needed to fold up with no extra buttons or anything to press, and these ones do.There is an onboard headlight. And this thing is BRIGHT. Itâs honestly a little too bright at times, but Iâd take that rather than being too dim and useless. It does have a horn which I donât really care about or ever use on any scooter. It DOES NOT BEEP when you reverse which I cannot stand. So thankful for that.It came with two mirrors that honestly look a little goofy and I opted not to install those. The front basket is a little on the small side, however, there is a basket on the back as well that folds up. The one in the back is a little obtrusive. It sticks out beyond the back of the scooter slightly lengthening it.Another problem is you canât reach the lifting handle on the back when the basket is on, though the basket does easily remove with a simple turning knob.Last thing about the basket, but I was surprised there wasnât a warning sticker right on it when unfolding it because this thing is under some serious tension. DO NOT have your face near it when it springs into action. There is a USB charging port on the column which was a nice surprise. It shipped in less than a week. But the best part is the speed. This thing really moves at just over 6 mph on its highest speed setting. There is a slight delay from a dead start, but when you’re moving and throttle down, it picks up right away as long as youâre still in motion. The speed is also analog so you can control it with just pressure on the throttle instead of having to dial it down. So for me personally, I just keep it all the way up and control it that way. There is a simple electric brake so all you do is let off the throttle to come to a complete stop.It sits high enough off the ground to be able to load it onto a car ramp. The suspension leaves a little to be desired, but I wasnât expecting a bunch of shocks or springs on a $600 scooter. But if youâre on a bumpy road, you do feel it a little.Overall I am extremely happy with this scooter and I highly recommend it. Some minor adjustments I would make, but again, Iâm just happy to not have to pay two grand for it. If I get a couple of years out of it, then I definitely got my moneyâs worth and will repurchase it again.
