A Fantastic, Budget-Friendly GoPro Alternative with One Key Caveat
I was on the hunt for a capable action camera that wouldn’t break the bank like some of the mainstream brands. I decided to give this 4K mini camera a shot, and I’m genuinely impressed. Right from the start, the experience was positive; the packaging was secure but easy to open, and refreshingly eco-friendly with minimal waste. My first impression of the camera itself was one of surprise—for the price, it feels remarkably premium and well-built, not at all like a cheap alternative.The performance lives up to the premium feel. The 4K video and still photos are crisp, clear, and vibrant, easily rivaling more expensive competitors. What really boosts the value is the sheer number of accessories included right in the box. You get a whole suite of mounts and clips, including the waterproof housing, which means you’re ready for any adventure without having to spend extra on essentials. The instructions were clear and got me up and running quickly.However, there is one significant trade-off to be aware of: the lack of an on-device screen. Having used GoPros in the past, I found the workflow less intuitive. You can’t frame your shots with a live view on the camera itself or review your clips on the fly. To see your footage, you must transfer the files to a computer or another card-reading device. For those looking for a cheaper alternative, this is the compromise.So, who is this for? If you’re comfortable with technology and don’t mind a workflow that involves transferring files to see your results, this camera is an absolutely fantastic deal. The quality you get for the money is outstanding. However, if you are not particularly tech-savvy or heavily rely on an integrated screen for instant playback, you might find the experience frustrating. For me, the value is undeniable and it was well worth the cost.

Not for Equestrians
I bought this because it was advtertised to me with a gorgeous smooth POV video from horseback. After trying it out this weekend it is not the case. There is NO built in stabilizer, if your sport is very smooth, this camera is probably ok. It is NOT good for horseback.

I picked up this compact 4K action camera to record my billiards practice, and it’s been a surprisingly powerful tool in a tiny package. I’ve been able to catch subtle details in my form that I never noticed before, which has really helped me improve. The wide-angle lens captures the entire table without distortion, and the WiFi feature lets me quickly transfer clips to my phone for instant playback.Battery life is solid for short sessions, and the waterproof casing is a nice bonus—though I haven’t exactly taken it diving with my cue stick! Not bad for the money but the app is annoying.
The camera itself doesn’t feel flimsy at all and works as advertised. It doesn’t have video stabilization at this price that is expected. You can add stabilization in your editing software. The biggest advantage is the size, price, and expandable memory.The video quality is okay but not great and color science is definitely different. There is a ton of barrel distortion as well, far more than other action cameras. The sound is very quiet no matter how loud everything is. I made a video of me mowing the lawn and my mower has never been that quite. The accessories aren’t the quality of the big brands but they work. The only one I’m really concerned about is the waterproof housing. The plastic latch is very brittle and the case puts an unnecessarily high amount of tension on it. I expect it to break eventually especially if its cold. The app works well but requires detailed location information which is a huge privacy concern and every time you connect the camera to the app it will start recording. There is no way to turn that feature off. EVERY time you connect it to the app the camera WILL start recording and you need to go to the gallery to delete the video you never wanted. If you make the mistake of exiting the gallery the camera will start recording AGAIN. If you want to download your videos you will always have to connect it to the app, stop the recording, go into the gallery, delete the recording it just made, download the videos you actually want, and press the home button on your phone and close the tab to prevent it from creating another video. The good news is you don’t need to use the app. Just put the micro SD card into your computer. You probably want to edit your videos or rename them and you will need a computer for that anyway.The camera is super small and has a built in battery. This means if you forget to charge the camera before you go out, you can’t just put a new one in and record. It also means the camera will end up in the landfill when the built in battery fails. I wouldn’t say this is a complete deal breaker at this price for a camera with accessories and a large memory card included but I would prefer a replaceable battery of some sort of possible. Cheaper compact digital cameras used to cost this much and although they didn’t include accessories, they had better image quality and had replaceable batteries. The size of this camera would make replaceable batteries hard to fit though so that is probably why. I’m not aware of any older second hand brand name action cameras in this price range so I would still say this is a great option for people on a budget or for someone who wants a cheaper and smaller option to put in higher risk situations like casting out on a fishing rod.
