Seamless Dual Monitor Switching â Works Flawlessly at 4K 144Hz
This DisplayPort KVM Switch is exactly what I needed to streamline my dual-computer, dual-monitor workstation. I use both a Windows desktop and a Mac Mini, and this KVM switch handles both systems effortlesslyâeven at 4K 144Hz resolution on both monitors.Key highlights:⢠True dual monitor support: Extended desktop mode works perfectly across two 4K displays. No flickering, no lag, no drop in qualityâeverything just works.⢠High refresh rate without compromise: I run both monitors at 4K 144Hz, and the image is crisp and fluid. Itâs rare to find a KVM switch that actually delivers on that spec, but this one does.⢠Easy switching: The included desktop controller is a great touchâone press and I can switch both monitors, keyboard, mouse, and USB peripherals from one machine to the other instantly.⢠USB 3.0 ports enhance functionality: I connected my webcam, external SSD, and keyboard/mouse combo with zero issues. Transfer speeds are fast, and everything is recognized immediately by both systems.⢠Solid build quality: The unit feels sturdy and well-made. All ports are snug and well-labeled, and the overall design is clean and compact.⢠Setup was straightforward. It took me just a few minutes to get everything hooked up. Worked right out of the box with no drivers or fuss.If youâre juggling two computers and want to share two high-resolution monitors and multiple USB devices, this KVM switch is an excellent solution. Itâs reliable, fast, and makes the workflow between systems feel completely seamless.

Excellent little KVM that can connect powerful devices.
I’m currently driving two super-ultrawide 49″ displays for a pair of laptops through this KVM. Both displays are at 5120×1440 and 60 hz. This KVM works great and makes switching back and forth between work and home easy as one click. If this can be done with these massive monitors, smaller ones should be a breeze. My biggest issue was finding the right docks that could drive this much video bandwidth (HP was the answer), but that has nothing to do with this dock. Once I found the right docks that could drive the video, the flickering was no longer an issue. It’s a great little footprint device and it responds quickly to the touch of the button.

Setup was quick, and the USB 3.0 support means I can share my keyboard, mouse, and even webcam without issues. The desktop controller makes switching seamless. Just add a mounting solution and it’s perfect…
I just set it up this last weekend, but it is working as expected and the IR functionality is nice since you can program the buttons into a smart-home IR blaster to trigger the switching automatically. I have it using a “switchbot” hub to ifttt to home assistant (via webhook) and it works well; We use our large monitor as a TV in the evenings, and this setup allows for us to switch between them. Other than that, framerates are good and the setup process was painless. One Suggestion:I think they should include some way to mount this to a wall or the underside of a desk. I used command strips, but that is a bit of a pain and probably not a permanent solution.

Great and simple setup kvm
First off im using this kvm for my raspberry pi 5 and my normal pc. Im hosting a Minecraft server for some buddies of mine and I have to say. When setting this thing up it was a hassle having to switch between in-game setting and setting for my rasbery pi, I pulled the trigger on this seeing how it was basically what I needed to use, and ever since I just needed to get the necessary cables for this item and while testing it out I have to say this pretty much is completely accurate to the descriptions, it allows me to have 144hz at all times and the switching between pcs takes 5 seconds at most when working on it, and I haven’t encountered any sort of laggy moments when gaming, its definitely a recommendation on my end and I won’t be switching this kvm any time soon

DisplayPort KVM switches provide a convenient and efficient solution for managing multiple computers from a single workstation, offering benefits such as simplified connectivity, space savings, cost savings, enhanced productivity, centralized control, flexibility, security, and convenient switching options.I ordered this KVM switch for working on my studio computer setup. I use four monitors two computers with one mouse and several sound peripherals that communicate to the main computer running a DAW. It’s a complicated setup and one that has been greatly benefit from using this KVM port switcher. This is a sophisticated device that also benefits from a remote control unit that mimicks the switching buttons on the device. The build quality is excellent and gives a reassuring feeling of being robust, well shielded from interference and with a professional look to the design.Setting these types of switches up is usually not a five minute job. I needed to plan exactly what I wanted to do in terms of viewing, switching and ultimately drew myself a little flow diagram to simplify the connections. Having spent that planning time, it all went together seamlessly and I’m very happy with the result. It’s an expensive piece of lit, I could buy similar items for less, but I love the remote control, allowing me to move aways from the computer, to the best listening position for my studio for sound mixing and still operate relevant items, screens and operations. Recommended for complex setups, reduces leads and clutter!

The box has two hdmi inputs (PC1 and 2), two usb inputs (PC1 and 2) and these are then routed to a single HDMI output and 4 usb sockets. You switch freely between the two PC sources. An important thing about these devices (apart from the obvious ‘does it work’) is whether it loses image quality in the process or if there is image lag. As it is not mechanically switching, then the routing is all done via electronic circuits which can degrade image sharpness or introduce slight delays (so eg speech is not in sync with the image). Even a few milliseconds is noticeable. The good news is that (at least at 1080p) image quality is excellent and no lag detected. I have not tested at 4K.A minor quibble is that the ‘remote’ control switch (which you will need if the box had to be placed somewhere out of the way to reach the two sources) is a wired one. The remote won’t get lost, but always needs to be teathered to the box. The remote cable is just over 3 feet long so should be suitable for most set ups. A previous device I had came with a wireless remote which was more convenient. While the unit comes with two USB cables (to connect to the two PCs), it does not come with any HDMI cables. So you will need three HDMI cables altogether – one for each PC to connect to the box and one to connect the box to the monitor. The 4 USB sockets switch between the two PCs so not only can you share a monitor between two computers, you can also share up to 4 USB devices like a mouse, keyboard, hard drive, sound module, etc.

Having trawled through a fair few KVM switches in my time, and experienced the full spectrum from the downright disappointing to the moderately passable, I recently took the plunge on the AILVLVNG 4K@144Hz Displayport KVM Switch. Let me tell you, it’s like stumbling across a hidden gem in a sea of mediocrity. It’s not just a step up; it’s a whole staircase above the rest.First off, the build quality is top-notch. It’s sturdy, feels like it’s going to last longer than my desire to work from home, and it has a sleekness to it that doesn’t scream “I’m a piece of tech equipment!” at you. It’s the strong, silent type, blending into your setup with an understated elegance. The performance? Spot on. Swapping between my work rig and my personal PC is smoother than my attempts at DIY haircuts during lockdown. With 4K at a buttery 144Hz refresh rate, my eyes are thanking me daily. The visuals are crisp, the colours vibrant, and the lack of lag is like a breath of fresh air.Pros:The build quality is like a tank in a tuxedo: robust yet refined.Seamless switching between computers, making it a multitasker’s dream.4K@144Hz support means visuals are as smooth as my baby’s bottom, minus the mess.USB 3.0 ports are plentiful, ensuring all your gadgets are catered for.Cons:The price might make your wallet wince, but for the quality and performance, it’s a no-brainer.It might take a bit of setting up, but think of it as a brain teaser with a very rewarding end.In summary, the AILVLVNG KVM Switch is a testament to the adage “you get what you pay for.” Sure, it’s a bit pricier than its counterparts, but the leap in quality and performance is undeniable. It’s turned my desk into a dual-PC command centre without the usual faff. If you’re on the fence, consider this a nudge from someone who’s seen the light.

This is a comprehensive yet compact unit enabling you to switch and link 2 pcs, and mirror/extend screens, as well as the ability to easily transfer files between machines.I used to do a lot of work with graphics some years ago and always had to have dual machines and monitors rigged up and how things have changed! The switch unit I used to use was the size of the Albert hall compared to this one and had nowhere near the capacity this one offers. This whole unit measures only 15 cm x 6.5 and 3.5 tall, so it’s compact and the resolution it offers is 4K ultra HD which is great. On one side of the unit you have 4 x USB-A 3.0 ports, the desktop control port and the select button. There are also 2 indicator lights to show which machine you are switched to (1 or 2) and you interchange between machines by pressing this ‘select’ button on the unit or by pressing the button on the desktop control, which is a separate button on a 1.5 m cable that does the same job – useful if you have the unit placed elsewhere, meaning you don’t have to scrabble around under your desk for it.On the other side of the unit is the 12 volt port (power adapter/cable supplied), the on/off switch for the unit itself and 2 clearly marked areas for the in ports for display (2 for each machine) and another USB-A 3.0 port for each. There are also 2 out display ports. Two 2 USB-A cables are also supplied, but you will need the additional display cables if you haven’t already got them. This is a nifty bit of kit and certainly makes it easy and seemless to extend and mirror your machines etc.

It comes with everything you need to get started.Though setting this up can be a little confusing and very fiddly.Ive connected 2 PCs to 1 display and 1 set of peripherals so its handy for my networking needs between the 2 PCsIts a little costly but worth it
