Great kit, not for beginers
First off, the kit didn’t come with instructions or a manual for me and the listing doesn’t have detailed instructions. To use this kit you will need some soldering supplies and a quick search on YT for a generic PS5 Hall Stick replacement video and a PS5 Hall Stick calibration video. Parts in the kit are high quality and stops drifting after installed and calibrated. Keep in mind, you need to calibrate before you completely reassemble the controller. It would be nice if there was a video link/QR code in the kit and a few extra pairs of thumb grips. The grips are nice and snug, you only get 1 pair but 3 pairs of all other parts in the kit.

Do Not Buy Without Solid Soldering Tools and Skills
OK, letâs be more clear than most of these reviews are. This is not a beginner project. If you cannot solder on a circuit board, this product is not for you. Taking the controller apart to get to the circuit board is not that bad, however, using the parts to replace the old parts is not an easy endeavor. I didnât find it worth my time, and am just paying for a whole new controller. If you have the electronics skills, Iâm sure these replacement parts are great. But thatâs gonna be a very small proportion of people.

Excellent repair kit for PS5 controllers
My PS5 controller that came with my new PS5 system showed some stick drift just a few months after use. This was a horrible and very common problem amongst the first models that sold. What makes me furious is that Sony wouldn’t do anything to replace my controller and wanted me to pay to have it repair. Rather than that, I held onto it until I could learn how to fix it and find the correct parts and repair kit to perform the repair myself. This kit was excellent had all of the tools and parts that I needed. I was very impressed at the quality of the tools themselves. Sometimes you can get cheap tools that break easily or feel cheap but that is not the case with this kit. The parts and tools feel and look like high quality and they worked after I finished my repair. I just looked up some repair videos on Youtube and bam, I was able to fix my controller. Important note for anyone is that you will also need a solder iron, solder and a solder vacuum to help with your repair that are not included in this kit. Overall, excellent controller repair kit that I definitely recommend!
