Great Value requires some wiring knowledge to install
Overall this stereo is a great value. I installed in 2014 Passat. Did require some wiring skills, especially to get the reverse camera to work properly. It is mostly plug and play though. Wireless CarPlay works great. Sound is great with a little tweaking. Backup camera is fine, but kind of a pain to install. You will have to find your own mounting place. I installed passenger side next to the trunk handle. If you have someone that can help you or you have the technical ability to figure out installing the camera and tapping a wire to get reverse, then Itâs a great product. I highly recommend.

good radio for the price , plug and play for any MK5 jetta , GLI, GTI works flawless .. apple carplay works fast , sound quality is good aswell would recomend if you on a budget

Installed this in a 2009 VW Jetta. Actually installing was easy, the hookups however, not so straightforward. There are no directions. Luckily I’ve installed units in the past and have some good understanding of these units. I can’t imagine if I didn’t it would be tricky.When I first installed it the radio was constantly on. Even with the car off keys out of the ignition. To tie it into the remote on lead you have to leave the red leads unplugged, which seems counterintuitive to me. I unplugged that and then it works fine. (check the picture for what to leave unplugged).The unit itself works. I would not pay more than $30 for it though. I will be driving and listening to Spotify through CarPlay and the radio just randomly plays on top of it. So both the radio and Spotify audio are coming through the speakers at the same time. It’s such a pain. To stop it I have to click into the radio and then back to CarPlay.Also, when listening to a playlist on Spotify I can’t skip songs sometimes. to fix this I have to unplug the phone and plug it back in.The wifi works sometimes to connect to my phone as a hotspot. It does not work if you keep bluetooth on so just remember that.While this head unit works it is so finicky and has a lot of bugs, I’m sure I will encounter more, but those are the major ones for now.

Outstanding customer service and a fantastic upgrade! The seller replaced my older unit under warranty with this significantly improved 4G+64G car radio (higher ram hardware specs, updated software; in addition, I can keep the old unit for parts).I tested these items and they worked great: GPS, backup camera, and Android Auto (using Bluetooth connection with Samsung Galaxy S22+). Please note for installation, my 2016 VW Jetta S required a 52 pin harness, which does not come with the unit and needs to be purchased separately. Overall, I am very satisfied with this unit.
