Solid little namebrand card reader.
Excellent build quality and easily meets the maximums of whatever cards I’ve thrown at it so far, and it’s from acer and not some no-name company.Both slots are addressed separately when it is plugged in, meaning you can work with two cards simultaneously if needed. In particular, I use this with my Steam Deck to assist in rotating games around between multiple microSD cards and I am happy to report for that particular use case, this works perfectly.My only point of critique is that it’s not fully equipped to max out the new microSD Express standard, as it is only pinned for standard microSD cards. (It will still work on Express cards, but won’t achieve Express speeds)Overall, the design is simple and portable, it works on anything I’ve tried it on, it doesn’t get hot and it doesn’t seem to have any issues with any of the cards I’ve thrown at it so far. A great addition to my computer desk.

Does what it says and works well
Iâm a hobbiest photographer and one of my workflows now is backing up photos from my camera to Lightroom either on my phone or iPad whenever I can throughout the day and borrow wifi when at lunch/coffee to sync photos. To do this, I need a fast usb-c SD card reader that I can use to copy photos. Acerâs always been a quality brand to me and I can use this to quickly offload photos onto my phone/tablet via usb-c. Zero issues with cards being recognized. Doesnât get warm to the touch even when offloading >25+ gb of photos.The price is fair and if it breaks/gets lost/borrowed from a friend and never returned, I wonât be upset and will gladly buy another one.

I’m not sure is it works with my laptop, it kept saying the formatting was wrong, but the usb-c worked on my phone, I’m using this to review/save/delete videos from my dash cam (that I don’t trust the matching app) it does the job well
