Perfect Solution for Webcam Mounting Woes in MSFS2020 Setup
As a dedicated enthusiast of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (MSFS2020), I’ve always been on the lookout for solutions to enhance my simulation experience. Pretty good, works well with the Obsbot meet SE’s magnetism using the extension’s platform.
Works well with my Obsbot Meet using the platform as the camera’s built in magnetism keeps it pretty stable on the metal platform which is layered in rubber…could be more stable, but it’s enough if you don’t constantly move it around.The neck is stiff enough that it doesn’t droop or move in it’s own and has a nice film over it that doesn’t expose the metal. I don’t know how well it would work with larger cameras as my Obsbot is tiny so it’s very stable.

The clamp doesn’t work with beveled edges.
The stand doesn’t work with my desk, which has beveled edges. These edges do not provide the stability needed for the clamp.

Nice mounting options to place the webcam where needed
I have large monitors so webcam placement is tricky. This flex arm clamps to my desktop and allows me to place the camera in a more natural position. The flex arm is stiff enough to stay put with the limited weight of the webcam, and the magnetic mount is a plus.The camera models are just a suggestion, as this mount will accommodate any webcam and other lightweight accessories as well. The magnet can be removed to use a 1/4-20 thread screw mount, and there’s also a disk included to attach to a webcam if the base is not already magnetic. The ball head allows for forward facing or top down camera angles as well – or accommodating leveling the camera if the arm needs to approach at a funky angle.The clamp is strong enough to hold securely, and I like that the back of the clamp has gussets pressed in to stiffen it and keep it straight against the tightening of the clamp. Keep in mind that you need a square overhang about 1.5-2 inches deep on your desk or table to mount the clamp – it does not have a deep enough throat to go over any edge bracing so it won’t work with some desks with shallow edges.This is a simple and sturdy flexible mounting solution for not much money. Recommended.

Nice Quality
This stand/mount is very strong. It holds up my heavy mirrorless with lens pretty well. If you’re mounting this on a desk and your desk wobbles, the wobble will reach the camera but its pretty good at killing the wobble quickly. The end of the gooseneck is a 1/4-20 screw mount that comes pre attached with a ball joint mount also with 1/4-20 thread. Also included is a screw on magnet if you want to use the included metal place for mounting other things or just have quick removal option. The magnet is pretty strong so I don’t feel comfortable using it with electronics but should be fine for anything else. The clamp is pretty standard and should fit desks up to 2 inches thick.
