    Awesome workbook
This is hands-down the most comprehensive and user-friendly Japanese learning set I’ve come across. The workbooks make mastering Hiragana, Katakana, and basic Kanji feel approachable, and the stroke order practice was a huge help in building writing confidence. What really sets it apart, though, are the grammar-focused textbooks—especially the real-world communication guide, which teaches practical phrases and context instead of just vocab drills. Everything is laid out logically, and the included audio (not AI!) made pronunciation practice feel natural. Whether you’re just starting out or want a strong refresh, this bundle delivers real progress in a well-rounded, motivating format.

Finally—A Complete Japanese Learning System That Actually Makes Sense
I’ve tried several language apps, YouTube lessons, and even a few online courses—but nothing clicked the way this book set did. All-in-One Japanese for Beginners is exactly what I didn’t know I needed: a clear, structured, no-fluff path to learning Japanese from the ground up.What really impressed me is how seamlessly the five books work together. The stroke order practice in the workbooks helped build my confidence with Hiragana and Katakana, and the Kanji section didn’t feel intimidating like other resources I’ve used. Instead, it builds gradually with clear explanations and examples that actually stick. The textbooks go beyond memorization and focus on real communication. The particle section was especially helpful—it finally made sense of grammar points I’ve struggled with for months. The real-world dialogue and scenarios feel useful, not academic, and I love that there’s audio to reinforce pronunciation. It’s definitely a lot of material, but if you take your time, you’ll be amazed at how much you retain. Perfect for adult learners or anyone serious about learning Japanese in a way that’s practical, immersive, and thoughtfully designed.

    A Good Read
This all-in-one Japanese course packs five books’ worth of content, from hiragana to real conversations. Stroke order practice and the progression from characters to particles to actual communication are excellent. I especially loved the real-world scenarios—finally able to order food instead of just writing characters—and the Kanji section with both readings is very helpful. It can feel overwhelming if rushed, and more integrated audio would be nice, but overall it’s a great value.

Still working my way through this and yeah, it’s a big book. But it’s laid out really well and feels easy to follow so far. The writing practice for Hiragana and Katakana is helping a lot—finally not mixing them up! Kanji is still kinda scary but the way they break it down makes it feel doable. Taking it slow but I’m already noticing little wins.

My partner who whilst English has a Japanese mother and therefore considers himself part Japanese has been badgering mw to start learning Japanese, hence buying this book. He has looked all through it and says it’s a really good ‘primer’ and says I should give it 5 stars – so now I am starting the long journey to start learning the language ready for a trip to Japan in 2 years. It looks complicated but also I looks like a well thought out learning plan with lots of exercises so here goes!

This book isn’t just another general language learning textbook. It’s a thoughtfully designed roadmap that takes you from Hiragana’s elegant curves, through Katakana’s sharp lines, right into Kanji’s fascinating complexity. What makes this resource truly stand out is the structured integration of grammar, vocabulary, and real-world conversations, making every lesson relevant and motivating. The author did put a lot of effort into presenting his material the right way. It had one cohesive system that respected both my intelligence and my passion. Perfect for adult beginners who want clarity, depth, and real-world fluency.

Was mir am Buch besonders gut gefallen hat ist die Illustration. Richtig professionell mit vielen Details. Viele Grafiken, Workbook-typische Erklärung und Lernen vom Schreiben der Japanischen Schriftzeichen. Sehr umfangreich. Mit dem Buch kann man auf jeden Fall gut lernen. Außerdem gibt es Zusatzinfos, zum Beispiel die unterschiedlichen Schreibsysteme.
