Great performance
Very happy with this purchase. I was using an old Netgear r6100 with DL speeds maxing out around 70mbps. Now I’m seeing speeds of 600-800mbps on average. I’m sure i could get more if the rest of my network could handle more.The wireless 6 signal strength is massive and steps over alot of the surrounding RF.For a refurbished item, this item seems to be perfect. It came with a power cable, copies of the instructions, which I typically don’t read anyway, and they included a cat 5e cable that os not even listed to be included. I don’t really need the extra “gaming” features, but as a refurbished item, it costed less for this one that includes them than a brand new one without.I’m just using this as a provate network inside a poolhouse with the WAN coming from the LAN of the network in the main house and it keeps everything inside secluded from everything outside. I really like all pf the admin features since I’m kind of a nerd. it was easy to set up without the manual since ot practically guides through everything basic, but there’s also a bit lf intricate admin settings to keep me from getting bored.

Look no further! This router is the best bang for your buck!
As an I.T. professional and hardcore gamer, this is by far the best bang for your buck. The interface is so well done. The setup wizard and process is a breeze. Even checks, downloads and updates the firmware during setup. I was quite impressed. Took less than 2 minutes, never hung once and “updating…” progress bar actually works, thus giving comfort to the user who doesnt want to wait 45 minutes wondering whats going on with the router and where its at during the firmare update process like some competitors products(cough netgear). Wifi works awesome, even through 3 walls in a 1 bedroom apartment(living room router location to bedroom tv).Long story short, this router and the settings available inside the router are by far the best ive seen for personal use. Stop wasting your valuable time researching, and trust when I say this Asus RT-AX82U router will serve you right. This is not a paid for review. I did not get this sent to me for free to leave a review. I replaced a pathetic excuse for a router that was netgears 2024 higher end model that didnt even last 2 months before it starting having major dns failures out of nowhere, so my devices would just not have internet for 30 seconds at random intervals when I was in the interwebs. Luckily, I found this Asus router that has made me a life long customer until they start failing at making quality hardware and software. Honestly I cant rave enough about this router. Sincerely, well done Asus, well mother flipping done(golf clap).

Works great! Love the colors.
Super easy to set up. All my problems with the smart house disconnecting on my 4 year old netgear are now gone. The rgb color scheme is awesome and has solids and patterns to choose from. I have it on one corner of my house and reached the other no problem. Get signal well into the neighbors yard. Which doesnât sound far but itâs about 200ft passed my house. Speed works great with my internet. No issues with lag and I have no more problems needing to reset it with how stable and reliable it has been. Only once in a while after a power outage.

Solid Router but ISP DHCP issues remain.
Technically from a hardware and UI/UX point of view this is a pretty great router. Solid hardware. The software is easy to use. Best of all it doesn’t force you into using a mobile app for full functionality.The missing star is because of an error “Your ISP’s DHCP does not function properly.”This error has been around for a WHILE and doesn’t really have a concrete solution if you happen to run into it. With mitigations in place you might be fine if you happen to run into it or you might not. ASUS as far as I’m aware have never really commented on it.When it was stable though I certainly was satisfied with it’s functionality.

Feature rich, could overwhelm some
I work in IT, and I love this thing. Its feature set is Incredibly lengthy though, so if youâre not familiar with router setup and network maintenance, this might be a lot to take in.The USB 3.0 port works well for an external drive over the network. It has scheduled reboots (I highly recommend enabling them, as it does run hot. Again, network maintenance). The âgameâ filtering is awesome, and while it takes a bit of time to configure in a multi-console home, itâs noticeably (stability and lag reduction) better. Port forwarding is easy to setup, the VPN capability was a nice add on and it makes having âpersonal cloudâ easy if youâre not trying to break the bank on a NAS.The range is nuts, but we only have a 1200 ft home on a 1/2 acre property; this reaches well into our backyard, and covers down to the sidewalk with ease. I didnât expect it to reach beyond our garage, but it does (down to one bar signal there). Also works well with adding nodes from other ASUS products (I have not tested backyard range and performance on this, just the fact that it CAN do it with backhaul or WiFi).I bought this to upgrade over our previous ASUS mesh ZenWifi system which was three nodes, and this single router replaced our previous coverage. Planning to expand it by adding the nodes from that system on, and hopefully getting full yard/garage coverage in the process

Super router
I bought one for a wireless mixer at my school. It’s amazing. Really fast, reliable and covers a huge area. I needed another for the 2nd mixer. I tried to cheap out and buy a TPLINK. I have used TPLINK at my house so I figured it would be fine except it doesn’t work at my school to broadcast the wireless mixer. Shame on me. I bought another Asus router like I should have done before! Learn from me. You can’t go wrong with this router!

Not reliable
We ordered this item and after 3 months it stopped working. Ordered a new one and it came without a box, with a sticker on the bottom, and it didnât work. We liked the features on the router but itâs not worth the hassle. Going with a different brand now

Tenia ya muchos años el de pauete de fibra optica, y habian lugares donde el wifi no llegaba por ser 5, muy mal wifi por defult en ese modem. Al poner este en un ethernet y lude de desactivar firewall y activar dmz del modem para este que trae su proteccion propia para evitar el doble nat. Trabajo increible.El wifi 6 traspasa mejor las paredes y llega a toda la casa, dispositivos con wifi 5 funcionan bien y los de wifi 6 trabajan mas rapido.Activarlo no es sencillo, el wifi lo active rapido conla app, pero el ethernet no funcionaba, por lo que tienes que pagarlos ambos y encenderlo un par deveces para que lo reconozca bien.Se le pueden apagar la sluces es geniasl si lo tienes al lado de ti y te molesta.Muy pratico, no se calienta y casi no hace ruido. Pero lo mejor es la señal.Otra cosa para los gamers, si juegas shooters como yo…si tiene QOS y lo mejor es que el software te busca el juego y te abre los puertos, sigo con el mismo ping, pero super fluido, misma velocidad constante al 100 y nada de que ciertos disparos no dan o el lag random. Lo recomiendo

Ordered from a registered seller through Amazon. Router arrived quickly. Router was a referbished unit, I knew that. Referbished from Asus with 90 day warranty. Would not work, called Asus tech support and was told it was “out” of warranty! Wanted me to send them a picture of invoice and said they’d get back to me within 48 hrs. Unacceptable! Back it goes!!
Funciona muy bien, es reacondicionado. No viene en su caja original, pero trae todos los accesorios correspondientes. Funciona a la perfección, mejoró mucho la velocidad del internet en redes wifi. Normalmente juego FPS, la latencia está como si jugara con cale ethernet.

Tiene excelentes Opciones de Priorización de paquetes mediante QOS (Nativo de cisco), genera fragmentación positiva de paquetes lo que permite el ping baje, Utilice el servidor virtual para mejora de ruteo de paquetes y baja el ping mas o menos 4 ms desde mi punto en la red. Estoy jugando COD, me sirvió bastante, Los comandos de Alexa son geniales, ahora puedo activar a desactivar las redes de invitados entre otras cosas. Tiene excelente seguridad con IPS de 2 vÃas, quiero comentar que todos estos features los he probado 1 a 1. N, lA VELOCIDAD DE TRANSFERENCIA EN LOS LOS WIFFI ES MAS QUE BUENA CONTE 5.6 GB/S. Este producto necesita alguien que sepa algunas cosas para entender todas las capacidades de este animalito. Altamente recomendado, el WI es facil de llevar.
