Huge storage, loud
Storage capacity as advertised. Read/write speeds seem pretty decent. My only complaint is that it is very loud on my entertainment center. I understand it’s a mechanical drive but it vibrates very audibly and when the room is quiet all you can hear is a very constant droning hum, even while sitting on a cloth pad (haven’t tried it with rubber yet). I use it for deep storage so it isn’t on constantly but when it is you are aware.

Stopped working After two weeks
I’m on a tight budget and was extremely excited to see a deal like this one. I used the drive to store my steam games on my new laptop that I’m currently using for nothing else. It just became corrupted randomly after no problems.It wasn’t even recognizing the disk at first. Here are all the things I tried in the order that I tried them:1.Restarting every and checking all connections2.Uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers (it then showed up as blank)3. Changing the USB port used4. Trying it on a different computer (still showed blank and corrupt)5. Going in to disk management and trying to reformat. There’s a little red down arrow next to “disk 1” here (which is the hard drive) and it can’t be reformatted. I went into PowerShell at the his point and attempted to clean it. It made no difference (I tried right after once, after a refresh once, and after a restart once).I’m at my wits end with this thing. Don’t waste your money
