Worked like a champ out the box. Got 1TB. Formatted at the factory worked well on a MacBook Air M4No complaints. True plug and play.

It’s gets too hot.
Perfect size for my Galaxy s24. But the big drawback is it gets extremely hot extremely fast. And I don’t believe that can be safe for your phone. I wouldn’t purchase this product again ! ð

Edit – although this SSD does work as intended it gets so hot that you could literally get burned from touching it. The instructions do say that they’ve used the case as the heat sink. This is a terrible idea because it’s going to catch something on fire. I have another of these small SSD from another company and it does not get hot at all. For that reason I have changed my review from five stars to two. It does work as it’s intended but it is overly hot and in my opinion a fire hazard.This SSD worked right out of the box. I used it to copy files from my Android and paste them into my iPad. It worked seamlessly with both devices. I can’t say how fast it was because the files are used were small. But so far I am happy with this SSD.

This item does not seem to be unformatted. It’s not out of the box ready to use.
For some reason, it was wino visible. Whereas an old external hard drive popped up immediately. Nevertheless, we have sent both back we bought (2) and neither one seemed to work. Note: We are pretty savvy with electronics in our household.

Runs hot. Prone to quit if left connect all the time.
Runs hot, and if left running too long–an hour or more, it is likely to quit. There is only a 30 day return period on this device, which is too short. Mine started quitting just under 40 days after I bought it. I would not recommend this drive.
